Novice welder, but watched a couple of videos & a half hour later was able to do some effective patching on my frame. Having fun getting the hang of it. Gun leads could be a little longer, they are just barely long enough. Cart top sides are too tall as you can't open side door without picking welder up,tilting it over, or putting a 1/2" shim underneath the welder, which is what I did. Really liked the Auto-Darkening Helmet.
