Eastwood's 2K AeroSpray™ High-Gloss Clear

Product Review (submitted on March 7, 2014):

I painted the entirety of my 68 Mustang using rattle can Rustoleum spray paint. For the finishing clear coat i used this clear coat. As a general i applied 4 coats: 2 light, 2 moderate. I would also recommend after the 2 minute pre-puncture and puncture of the red button to use 2 strips of tape on the bottom of the can to hold the button in. Doing this will keep the center tube from being closed and will keep the pressure longer to the end of the can. After going through 15 cans of this stuff, i would say its rather pricy in comparison to the $5.00 automotive clear coat.

The spray patter can be changed and it fans out great. This makes it very easy to do the over lap when applying the clear coat. Great design, seems like a great product, but the price... terribly expensive for a bottle of clear coat that doesn't coat as much as other cans of clear coat that have the same volume.

Lastly, use your head there is a pot life on this so whatever project you are doing have your project prepped, prep work done, conditions ideal. Take your time with light coats first so you don't get orange peel or wrinkles in your clear coat. Its the last stage.
