Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Respirator For The Price Respirator is fairly comfortable and easy to adjust for proper fit. I didn't smell any fumes when I was spraying urethane paint. You may have to do some minor adjustments from day to day but if you follow the instructions everything works out fine. If your glasses cloud up when breathing then the respirator is not on tight enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Respirator As an asthmatic, respirators are very important. I realy like the SAS Bandit. The mask fits well and is comfortable. The straps don't get in the way and aren't irritating like some masks. Worked in 90+ degree heat and did not sweat too much inside the respirator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy and use this... I used this respirator while applying Eastwood 2k ceramic grey primer and high gloss paint. Well worth the money. Saved my lungs today and probably in the future. The respirator worked well for me even though it is a throw a way. Wouldn't want to re-use it anyway.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money Works great, filters are easy to change, but you'll need to throw it away about the time you need to change the filter for the first time, because there is apparently NO WAY to take this thing apart for a good cleaning. No support or downloadable instructions on the SAS website. I should have stuck with 3M respirators.

The pre-filters; yes. The actually charcoal filter:NO.The charcoal remains active for approx. 50 hours after opening the package which renders this mask useless.

With this mask work for shooting and sanding urethane paint and primer

Asked by: Dirtye30
This mask is appropriate for either task, but it's better suited for use with organic vapors alone (painting). I've found that it works best to have a dedicated respirator or mask which is designed to handle particulates (dust) just for sanding. It keeps the paint respirator from wearing prematurely.
