Environmentally friendly Soda Blast Media is specially formulated to strip paint without using chemicals, and without damaging metal. Maintenance XL is made with the largest crystal, to be our most aggressive, yet safe-for-metal, media for most paint-removal applications.
About Soda Blast Media - Maintenance M-XL 50 Lb Bag
50-lb. bag of Maintenance XL Soda Blast Media can be used to clean and remove virtually any coating from almost any substrate. Contains a premium moisture control system which coats each crystal, making it almost completely waterproof; this MoistureGuard 2 additive tolerates twice as much moisture as regular baking soda. Sodium bicarbonate is a natural, water-soluble, inorganic compound that won't damage or warp metals.

(A) Removes urethane, epoxies, enamels and lacquer top coats along with virtually every primer for automotive and marine use. Also strips coatings from fiberglass on vehicles and boats, and even blasts and preps wheels for paint without dismounting the tire.
(Q) What won't soda remove?
(A) Soda alone will not remove rust. Use our 50494 Soda and Aluminum Oxide Blend that's specially formulated for rust and corrosion removal.
Use a properly fitted dust mask or respirator, safety glasses or safety shield, plus heavy gloves, long pants and a long-sleeve shirt to protect exposed skin. Get our 50097 Safety Kit for complete protection. Make sure the deadman valve is operating properly by depressing the valve lever and releasing; the nozzle should close under its own spring pressure. If not, do not use the deadman valve until the spring or obstruction is repaired.
