Spotweld drill bit review
Worked fantastic. I am cutting out a ton spot welds on my floor pan. It cut through the welds easily. I bought 2 but really only needed 1 for this job. I have a bunch more sheet metal to replace so I am sure i will need the 2nd one.

Works well
I've used this bit on over 300 spot welds, and has done a fine job. You can get a bit extension at some hardware store, to get into tight areas. I've just ordered my second bit. but I will try to get the original one sharpened.

Great tool for the job!!
I had one previously that seemed to be getting dull after maybe 25-30 cuts. Couldn't find it for this job (DOH!!), as it's been a few years, so I ordered another. Agree with others that it could be longer. BUT....nonetheless, it's the tool for the job!!

I have three of these and they work great .I use a 20v battery drill med. speed , punch first . And use a nonsilicone lube . Sharpen lightly with diamond stone .

Does removes spot welds
Bought to remove floor pans in resto project. Clean surface and try to center as close as possible. Use center punch. Hard to tell how deep to drill and it's easy to drill all the way through. Practice on scrap to get the feel.

Good product
This bit takes out spot welds with great accuracy and seems to hold the cutting edges well.
It definitely needs to have a 1" longer shank, however, for tight spot welds.

Questions & Answers
Between the two, the 19017 spot weld cutter bit and the 11277 spot weld cutter, which has the better durability and will last longer? I went through 2 cutters in my 85082 kit with less than ten cuts each.
It all depend son the Application and material your cutting.
