Great Product!
The rear cab panel on my 1968 F100 has 4 approx 12 x 12 indentations below the rear window. I had Vintage air installed which works great but I realized there was zero insulation in the cab so it was like air conditioning a frying pan. I set about installing sound deadening and insulation. I did the x mat under the carpet after I rustoleumed the floor. Next I installed the 12x12 x mats in the indentations under the rear window. I covered that with bulk foil faced insulation and the difference was incredible.. It went from sounding like slapping a empty 55 gallon drum to slapping a oak tree.

X-Mat
Really like the X-Mat. I have a 1965 Comet gasser with the X-Mat and a rubber floor mat over it. Seems to manage the heat and somewhat control sound inside my car.
Good product!

Good product.
Looks like a well made product. I used some in a street rod project that is still under construction. It is not difficult to work with and adheres very well. It has no foul odor. I think it will work very well.

Quiet Ride
Easy to work with and install. Insulated the inside of the quarter panels and floors on a 2020 4Runner with TRD exhaust. This greatly reduced the drone on the hwy.

This product has a black "fuzzy" top coat, while other Xmat products have an aluminum face. Is it OK to glue carpet/underlayment on this surface, as it is for the aluminum-faced products? What glue can be used?
Hi , Yes this can be glued using a high tack spray adhesive like the D.E.I #10492

Can the aluminum facing be painted?
No we do not recommend painting the aluminum-faced surface

1998 mustang. My rear seat passengers often complain about heat coming thru rear on long drives. I notice a thin material similar to the backing on the trunk carpet. Would a layer of this help reduce the heat coming thru ?
Yes, this ill help reduce the temperature of this area as well as reduce noise.

Do l need to install anything under this.My corvettes original rubber insulation has jute between the rubber and floor?
It's not technically necessary for anything to be applied in between this insulation and the floor but I would strongly recommend protecting the metal itself with a layer of Extreme Chassis Black or Rust Encapsulator.

I am going to replace the carpet in my MG TF. X-mat low profile dense or high profile? Seems there is a lot of difference in heat reduction. But low profile looks like it will be easier to fit. Heat is the biggest problem. Which is best? Thanks
If heat is your main concerns kit #15828 would be your best option:http://www.eastwood.com/x-mat-high-profile-15-75-sq-ft-4-sheets.html.
