I have a small (2”x2”) rusted area on one side of double walled spot on my classic vw.  Will this product work for this and if so, what prep work should be done on this?

Asked by: HuskerBob
This will work. You'll want to remove all of the rust from the area, clean and prep the metal according to the instructions

I have a fiberglass water well pressure tank with a crack in the side that's leaking water. Can this be used to seal the crack from the outside?

Asked by: Alan60
The USC Fiber Glass repair kit(50766ZP) will work to repair a cracks in fiber glass vehicles and parts. Although it will bond to and seal the leak in your fiber glass pressure tank when properly prepaired, we can not state that it will support and hold the pressures you will be using. Not recommended for use in high pressure applications.

could this be used to make a duck tail spoiler? i have created a mold out of foam and bondo the whole thing trying to find fiberglass to form the duck tail.

Asked by: jarad
The resin will attack and dissolve the foam. The fiberglass component should be formed within a female mold of the part using gel coat to line the mold (for the finished, painted part surface) then fiberglass mat and or chopped strands saturated in resin and hand laying them in then pressing out al the air. The final part will be hollow. NOTE: This is advanced fiberglass work and should not be attempted without consulting a good book (many published) on constructing fiberglass parts.

I have a fiberglass septic tank with lid above ground. Someone that was digging our leech line hit the part the lid goes on and broke a good hunk off of it. Would this kit work for this situation?

Asked by: David
Fiberglass cloth properly soaked in resin makes an excellent fiberglass structural repair. Carefully follow instructions to fully saturated the mat and expel any trapped air.

I’m putting a piece of plywood down and I’m wondering do I need to put fiberglass down on the whole sheet or just around the edges of my fiberglass boat

Asked by: Cody15
For this to work best you would want to encapsulate the entire wood panel in resin.
