Is "VHT high temp aerosol flat black #13813Z" compliant with "2K aerosray high temp engine primer gray #14932Z" ? I intend to paint my sand blasted cast aluminum roker covers in flat black, and look for the best long lasting solution.

Since VHT is not our brand it has never been tested in conjunction with each other. We would have to recommend that you test a small area first.

Can I clean and paint a rusted Y-pipe now and it cure 6 months to 1 year from now when the project car is running or should I wait until the project is ready to run so I can heat it up with the engine to cure?

Asked by: Toms53
It is always best if you can wait before coating your exhaust, till your ready to install. Just be sure to remove all the rust on your pipes, and wipe them down with Acetone prior to applying this product.

I am trying to preclude the yellowing/bluing due to heat that is common with chrome exhaust systems. Can this product be sprayed on the INSIDE of the chrome side pipes (Shelby Cobra) to stop/slow the above problem? Thanks!

This product isn't designed to be used internally. Our Internal Exhaust coating is what you will want to use.
