Automotive Metal Cutting Tools
In order to get metal just right for fabrication, you will need a few good cutters. Whether you need to follow a pre-determined line or free-form, Eastwood metal cutting equipment is available to make it happen. We have hand tools, power tools and industrial units for cutting metals of any thickness that are used on body panels.
Tin Snips for Small Jobs
The simplest cutter in a fabricator's toolbox, tin snips are a quick way to slice through light sheet metal. Properly known as aviation snips, these tools are basically giant scissors to use for new panel forming or for trimming rust spots off existing panels. We have straight, left-cut and right-cut tin snips from Channellock, Wiss and Eastwood. They are excellent for race teams as well who need to quickly remove dragging doors or fix fender rubs.
Sheet Metal Shears
Shears give you the power to cut through heavier sheet metal with a more exact form. Our hand metal shears are typically either pneumatic- or electric-powered for these tougher jobs. Compound nibbler shears also provide some leverage for thicker metals. For trimming small pieces, rotary workbench shears can cut straight or curved lines with a clean finish.
Metal Saws & Tubing Cutters
When it comes to thicker metals, you will likely need some sort of saw. Power through steel or aluminum using metal saws, reciprocating saws and benchtop band saws. These saws are often adjustable and are comfortable to use. With a tube notcher, you can create perfect angles for exhaust systems, frame rails and roll cages.
