Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the expense with accessories The retro fit kit works and is worth the expense. I do however recommend that you get a strainer for the media. This is an absolute which I didn't have at first and questioned the reliability of the product.. If you have a need then this is a good way to have one bottle for two different media retros.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product good, perfor, amce not as good as expected The retrofit kit is consists of high quality components. However, soda blasting didn't work as well as expected. I used it to strip paint off of my Corvette, which had been repainted once back in the 80's. It worked well on large open areas (although not as fast and efficient as a razor blade) but it did not perform well in the areas I need it to. I stripped most of the paint with a razor blade and decided to try the soda blaster in the nooks and crannies like the recessed tailight housings, vents, and door jambs. It did not perform well in these areas at all. It would eat into the surrounding fiberglass before it removed the paint. Maybe there was excessive paint (soft enamel?) in these areas or maybe it just doesn't work well when trying to blow it into small recesses. Looks like I'll be breaking out the sandpaper.

Questions & Answers

confused as to why this is necessary when doing soda...can someone explain why?

Asked by: Chris
There is a special restrictor built into this hose in order to get the correct pressure through to use soda media.
