Can this be used on anodised aluminium, do I need any primer?
Asked by: radio
Yes. We would highly recommend the use of our 2K Engine primer for best adhesion. This can be found here on our website: https://www.eastwood.com/2k-aerospray-high-temp-engine-primer-gray.html

I already primered and sprayed my long block, after curing for multiple days I noticed two spots that I some how missed and primer is bleeding through. I assume I will need to sand before touching up with a new coat?
Asked by: Matt
Yes, you will want to scuff that surface prior to spraying that area.

Is this product also UV resistant and gasoline proof?
Asked by: NZHen
This paint is not fully UV stable so if being subjected to sunlight a clear like our 2k Gloss or Matte would be needed. This 2k version does give a great deal of fluid resistance.

What 2K high temp engine paint is the right color for a 1974 Cadillac engine?
Asked by: steve
At this time we do not offer any Cadillac engine paint options directly of our own. The only variation we would have right now is the POR15 version which can be found here: https://www.eastwood.com/por15-engine-enamel-cadillac-dark-blue-pint.html

Will this work on aluminum heads. Any special primer needed? Thanks
Asked by: Dan L
Yes this will work on aluminum heads as well. We recommend sanding with 320/400 grit paper and cleaning with our PRE or Acetone. No primer is intended to be used or needed with this.
