Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2k is a game changer This is phenomenal engine paint that lays down glassy smooth and is very forgiving to overspray. Very durable and shiny. Worth the price for what you get. Will never go back to regular engine paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great Sprays really nice. Looks like I sprayed out of hvlp. I used the high temp two part primer first and thoroughly cleaned the engineS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and looks good I used just under 2 cans for my 327. The directions were easy to follow. The paint came out of the can nicely with no sudden bursts or splattering. The paint started not coming out when held at an angle when only 1/2 the can was used. So if you are going to be spraying at an angle, try to do that first when the can is full. Otherwise, try to rotate whatever you are painting so that you are spraying facing downwards. Time will tell if the paint holds up but I have never been let down with Eastwood paint.

is Primer required before spraying clean cast iron block and heads, thank you..

Asked by: JerDes356
We recommend using our 2K High-Temp Engine Primer, then the paint. Here is the link for that high temp primer. https://www.eastwood.com/2k-aerospray-high-temp-engine-primer-gray.html

Would 1 can be enough to pain a SBC block and oil pan? I have aluminum intake & cylinder heads I'm going to leave natural.

Asked by: Mike S
We would recommend 2 cans in total to be safe.

What prep / primer should I use on bare metal with a little flash rust ? I was thinking of using por-15 and then using this as my topcoat

Asked by: TonyV
If you are using the POR-15 on the engine, it would burn off. Instead we recommend using our 2K High-Temp Engine Primer, then the paint. Here is the link for that high temp primer. https://www.eastwood.com/2k-aerospray-high-temp-engine-primer-gray.html

can I spray the 2k high gloss over this paint if I wanted it more glossy??

Asked by: Efren
As long as the application is not on an engine (because the clear is not temp rated high enough to withstand the temps. that would subject it to.

Is it gas resistant? Will gas blister the paint if it sits to long on it? Thanks

Asked by: Pommeman
This will be gas resistant to a certain point. Gas left on the paint may cause bubbling or discoloring to the finish.

Can I spray this over your 2k epoxy primer?

Asked by: Redd
Yes, you can spray this over our 2K epoxy Primer, just be aware that the primer temp rating is lower than the same as the engine paint.
