Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2K engine paint 2K AeroSpray paint is the greatest! I painted my oil pan, timing cover, water pump, brackets and bell housing. It turned a very nice gloss black finish and dried hardened so no chipping of the paint. 2k is the only way to go. No more regular spray paint for me ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2K AeroSpray High Temp Engine Paint Ford Blue This is the best spray can engine paint I every used. It is easy to mix the two part paint in its own spray can. It was easy to spray and it have a long pot live (time to use before it get hard in the can and become unsprayable). It looks good on the engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ford Blue I bought this to paint the engine and transmission before I put everything back in the car. I wire wheeled the entire transmission and cleaned every nook and cranny. Afterwards I wiped down the entire thing with paint prep. Then applied the high temp primer and 2 coats of the Ford Blue paint. It came out amazing with a smooth finish. The spray pattern is amazing and layer the paint down with ease. Next up is the engine block! Then back into the freshly painted engine compartment! Chris D. El Paso, TX

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If it has to be a can, this is the only one to use This is the only paint I will ever put on an engine block. I've tried them all, and this product flows better, looks better, and resist chemicals better than any of the other parts store ceramic engine enamels. The chemistry behind this is just that much better. It's no secret that a durable finish is nearly impossible without a two-component system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional paint in a can My first time buying 2K ceramic paint in a can, or any $20+ rattle can paint. I used three cans of red over primer to paint a sport cage to a flame red, PR4, Jeep Wrangler TJ. The color match is very close to factory PR4 paint code. Cover your work area well as over-spray gets everywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this gloss black to paint some antique harley wheel hubs, this paint covers well and cures to a hard gloss finish, I used the primer this time, but I have used it without in the past and it has excellent adherence. Well worth the money and no comparison to regular spray paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Paint for More Than Engines I used the black on an engine block and brackets and was so impressed with it's performance. I purchased the red to paint my tool box and jack stands, this paint is durable, covers well and flows nice. There is no substitute in an aerosol anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Spray Paint Ever! I was absolutely amazed by the results of the Red 2K Ceramic Engine Paint. I painted my M90 supercharger and my plastic 3800sc valve covers using and the results look professional and amazing. Everyone I have shown my engine too had been shocked when I told them I used a can. I am beyond happy. Be sure to use the can within 24hrs of activating. The paint doesn’t go on as well beyond that and 48 hours you will not get good results.

When using your 2K primer spray cans under your 2K high temp engine paint, can the paint be applied directly over the tacky primer or do you have to give the primer 24 hours to dry before top coating? Thanks.

Asked by: Bart_in_NJ
2K high temp engine paint can be applied over our 2K primer when the primer is still tacky, but the primer must at least be fully flashed off, and no longer wet. this takes approximately 1 hour in most applications. Always apply a tack coat of the 2K high temp paint over the primer first, and allow that tack coat to cure for approximately ten minutes before applying a full wet coat. This tack coat will also provide a good indication if the primer has flashed off enough to continue applying the high temp engine paint.

Is it true this paint must be cured with heat to promote proper adhesion? Adhesion to an aluminium cam cover was very poor unless this was done. You should in your instructions advise people to heat cure this paint (engine or oven heat)
