Fills and sands great!I bought this primer to use on my wheels and it has been excellent. It's super easy to spray I like that you can adjust the spray pattern size and the angle of spray. I will definitely use it again

Problem with ActivationPurchased five cans. Followed instructions exactly but for some reason one can did not properly mix the activator. I have used a number of 2K products and this is the first time this happened. Unfortunately I had to strip my hood again to get rid of the gummy un-activated paint.

Good product, when sprayed in the right conditions.I used the 2k Aerospray black urethane primer surfacer over the 2k aerospray epoxy primer. Pieces were scuffed with scotch bright red, and cleaned prior to high build primer. It helps to keep a shop rag to wipe the nozzle every few passes. Also, turn the cam upside down between parts, and spray till it’s clear. Keeping the nozzle clean is key with any spray can paint.

Good but not GreatThe only complaints I have is: Drying time is far too long to then reapply or sand. Specifically; 3–4 hrs at best to dry - even with optimal temp and humidity. I'm not sure if this is done to control shrinkage or something else but it adds way too much time for projects waiting to sand and apply again.
The high build does not contain enough solids or the nozzle is too fine to do high build with few coats. Lastly, the directions for use are very complete, but for drying time, which is NOT listed, which of all things is very important for a professional job. It is a good product but for the above issues could be a great product - worth the money

DisappointedFirst time using Eastwood primer. Maybe it’s user error, but I haven’t experienced this with other spray cans. Got a ton of splatter on first use, so no caked in paint on the nozzle. Now I have to waste more time sanding off the splitter. Hopefully it won’t be too much work to do so….
Can this be sprayed “wet on wet” over the Eastwood 2K aerosol epoxy primer?
Asked by: Btn74
Urethane primer can be applied over epoxy primer as soon as the epoxy has flashed for about 30-45 minutes. This can be done without sanding for up to 5 days after applying the epoxy primer.

Asked by: Coz29
Absolutely, 2K Urethane Primer can be applied over body filler as long as the surface is properly prepped. Ensure the body filler is sanded smooth and the surface is clean and free of contaminants before applying the primer.

I am currently refinishing some body panels from a salvage yard for my Jeep. I have sealed the panels with your 2k epoxy , Is there a need to reseal with the epoxy primer or can I spray this with a urethane paint when block sanded ?
Asked by: jeep dude
You can spray Urethane without primer, although the best results are achieved using Epoxy primer prior to Urethane.

I have some motorcycle wheels that I'm refurbishing. Most of the wheel is still factory painted, but there are some bare metal areas from sanding. Can I apply this primer to the bare metal or do I need to apply another product first?
Asked by: PistolPete
Bare metal needs a sealing primer first like the 2k Epoxy primer.

Can this primer be applied over Locktite Extend Rust Neutralizer, and then top coated with enamel spray paint?
Asked by: SteveL
Enamels really should not be used over Urethane primers. As far as the Neutralizer referenced- we would not be able to guarantee. We would have to advise you to test a small area or on scrap metal first.
