Description
Eastwood's 4:1 Premium Show Clear is a high solids clearcoat made from superior European resins. It dries fast, with a beautiful gloss and excellent depth of image (DOI). Flows and levels easily with no shrinkage or dieback. Features excellent durability and long lasting UV protection, weathering and everyday wear.

Eastwood Premium Show Clear can be applied over Eastwood Single-Stage Urethane or Low-VOC Urethane Basecoats, or other manufacturer’s paints as well. This is a National Rule Compliant system (Clearcoat; Max VOC 4.8 lbs/gallon when mixed 4:1).

One of the best clears for the money
Been using this stuff for a couple of years now, sprayed a huge ford super duty with it, has lasted in the sun for 4-5 years without issue. If you use the slow activator and good technique, you can get to lay VERY flat, even unreduced. Reduced you can make it look like glass. Overall, the quality of this stuff is amazing for how little it costs, highly recommended.

Excellent product . Applied real good with 1.4 tip . First time to spray Clear Coat and this stuff didn’t run on me. Gave me plenty of time to refill spray . Beautiful

1951 Chevy Truck Prepped & Painted with all Eastwood Products.
Painted my 1951 Chevy Truck with all Eastwood products. Attached is a sample photo of the door (haven’t wet sanded and buffed yet). For this project I used Eastwood pre, epoxy, primer, candeez silver metallic, then parts with candeez vino rojo and even bought my paint/clear guns from Eastwood.
I have used multiple people in Eastwood tech support and customer support, everyone has been patient and very helpful. I appreciate the support from Eastwood on this project. A+ Rating

Excellent Gloss
It has been years since I last sprayed a car, and my first time using an HVLP gun. I installed wider Quarters and Fenders on my 2006 Corvette. I used Ditzler base coat to match the rest of the car, and Eastwood's 4:1 Premium Show Clear. It flowed well, took minimum wet sanding, and buffed to a beautiful gloss. I'm very happy with the results and would highly recommend this clear coat.

I used this clear system with a medium activator and the universal urethane reducer medium also. Mixed 4:1:1. When you touch the paint with your hand it like scratches the paint. Not sure if I did something wrong but I’m not to happy with it so far.
I never use 5% reducer, if any. not sure what you did, but it should have completely cured.

Can this be sprayed using a SPRAYIT SP-33500K LVLP spray gun?
Not sure about that gun, 1.3-1.5 tip will do it.

Can I go over a stock clear coat without if prepped properly
It depends on the clear you want to go over. If its not lifting, or shows sign of de-grading
it is possible. The surfaces need to be scuffed up and you will need to use Paint Prep 10594ZP to insure the surfaced are thoroughly clean.

The activator is your hardener. Be sure to match temp rating to your area.

Can this be shot directly over your DTM epoxy primer?
Need to ensure that the surface is completely clean after DTM epoxy primer before putting the urethane over it.

how long will your show clear activator last, a have a quart that is almost full but was opened about 8mths ago..Thanks
It should not be a problem if properly sealed and stored in average temperature facility
