Eastwood 4 in Metal Bender

Product Overview:

Description

Eastwood Benchtop Metal Bender

The Eastwood 4-Inch Metal Bender is a compact but strong steel bender that is capable of completing precise bends up to 3/8-inch thick mild steel. It’s an affordable metal forming tool that fits on any workbench with easy hand-crank operation. Save space and time when bending suspension brackets or seat mounts for your project. Others use our medium-duty metal bender for patch panels or ornament artwork.

To make custom parts, simply mount the compact bender on a work surface with four bolts and start bending your desired material. There’s no need for a full-size hydraulic press that takes up a large amount of space in your shop when you can achieve the same results with a metal brake that’s a fraction of the size. The Eastwood 4” Metal Bender is a high-quality industrial-style tool capable of generating a powerful 2.5 tons of pressing force.

The Eastwood 4 Inch Metal Bender Features:

  • Powerful 2-1/2 tons of pressing force
  • Create up to 90 degree bends
  • Generates 2.5 tons of pressing force
  • Bends mild steel and aluminum up to 3/8" thick and 4" wide

Simply mount the bend on a work surface and start bending your desired material. No need for a full size hydraulic press that takes up a large amount of space in your shop. Save space and time when bending suspension brackets or seat mounts for your project.

Use your metal bender board to create 90-degree or lesser repeatable bends in mild steel and aluminum up to 4” wide. On 1/8-inch thick steel, you can increase the bend to 125 degrees. The maximum metal thickness varies depending on how wide the steel plate is; consult the chart below before getting started. Shop at Eastwood for professional-quality metal forming tools that cost less than comparable equipment from leading brands. We provide free technical support by phone, email or the Eastwood Garage.

Application Tips

Bends Mild Steel And Aluminum Up To 3/8" Thick And 4" Wide

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4" Bender bending 3/16" thick steel with multiple bends The 4" bender is perfect for my needs. I am bending 2" x 30" 3/16" steel to make mounting brackets for our Lightning Detectors. After determining how much turning resulted in a 70" bend, I place a piece of painter's tape across the top to mark that spot. Then I could reproduce the bends quickly. Just make sure your material is level before bending. Instead of bolting the device down, I clamp it to my workbench so I can move it as needed.

Questions & Answers

Using 3/16” or 1/4” flat bar, the tool’s wedge tilts under pressure & bends the flat bar crooked. I also see that another reviewer has had this exact problem. Has the Eastwood 4” Bender been updated to have this flaw corrected?
