Auto Body Sanding Tools

Just because you're hand-sanding doesn't mean you can only use your hands. Eastwood sanding blocks will give you faster results with less effort so your fingers can get a breather. There's a difference between keeping things old-school and making work harder than it needs to be, and if you're just using regular sandpaper, you're probably doing the later. Add a sanding block to your auto body tool chest and take some of the strain out of your metal sanding.

Block Sanders

You want your body panels to be flat and straight when they're on your car, and your hand alone usually isn't enough for that silky smoothness. Dura-Block sanders add leverage for sanding down body fillers, welds and other side effects of repairs. We carry long blocks, teardrop blocks, compact blocks and other styles. Just attach your wet or dry sandpaper in a matching width to rub down flat or contoured lines. There are also round and radius blocks for sanding curved panels. Get a multi-piece sanding block kit to cover every scenario.

Flexible Auto Sanders

A flexible sander is a happy compromise for those who need more power than just their hands, but don't like the rigidity of a traditional sanding block. Eastwood adjustable flex sanders can have as much or as little bend as you need for impeccable final shaping. They come in several sizes to ensure full contact with no irregular spots after you're finished. We also carry flexible sanding blocks and sanding boards plus soft sander kits that have up to six blocks in different hardness levels and shapes.

Flexible Sanders

Sanding body panels with just a 1/4 sheet of paper and your hand, or an old fashioned wooden block makes it hard to get good results. Using a larger block, that can be adjusted to make it more or less flexible, makes it much easier to get a glass smooth body. Plus, imagine how much faster you could sand the whole roof, hood, or door skin if you have a 2 handed 3 foot long sanding block, instead of a piece 3 in x 5 in. Eastwood also carries blocks to help you sand right up to the edge of body lines, without over-sanding the edges and blurring the details. Our flexible sanding tools are just what you need for sanding the complex curves on rounded post war cars, jet age 1950s cruisers, and curvaceous muscle cars of the 60s.
