B&M Automatic Shifter - StarShifter 80675

The B&M StarShifter is our 3-speed shifter with a split personality of performance, function and that classic muscle car styling. The first personality is as a straight-line detent shifter, meaning you can move between gears without a positive stop, like an OEM shifter. The racing personality comes into play when you want a ratcheting function, you just put the shifter down into low gear, pull the trigger up while pulling the shift handle down and it drops into ratchet mode. In this mode, the ratchet function will shift one gear at a time so you can't over-shift and miss a gear at that critical moment. Another cool feature is the reverse lockout which meets NHRA/IHRA safety rules for those weekend grudge races at the track. The look and feel of the T-handle and accordion-style shift boot really shows off the racing heritage of the StarShifter and looks a lot like its big brother, the MegaShifter. Other features include a black console that you can trim to fit your vehicle's floor contour for a perfect fit, a 5-foot shift cable, cable brackets, transmission shift levers, chrome-plated top plate with a lighted gear indicator and everything needed for an easy at home installation. Be sure to check out our optional T-handle with a 12-volt button for actuating a trans-brake, nitrous oxide or other accessories for the hard-core performance enthusiast. This shifter fits most popular Chrysler A727, A904, A518 transmissions, Ford C4, C5, C6, and AOD transmissions, along with GM 3-speed automatic transmissions.
