Internal Coil Spring Compressor
Used this on my 55 Chevy, went through the top shock mount and only used (1) jaw, (the one with the threads),could not have done it without this tool. Tool worked fine.

The tool worked perfectly. I did have cut 2" off the threaded end for my application but worked fine and I would not have been able to get the front springs back in without it.

found that the tool worked better going through the top shock mount and using only one jaw, the one with the threads, to use the jaw one must feed the jaw from the bottom of the coil after the shock is out..

Where is this tool made? China? I found that spring compressors made in China fail before the spring is compressed enough.

What are the dimensions of this spring compressor? How long is it, what is the minimum diameter spring it will service? How thick is the bottom threaded part (so I know if I can get it between the coils)?
The Max. wire size is 3/4". The length is 12". It is 1 1/2" thick. Minimum diameter would be 3 1/2"
Spring compression is 4" max.

Can this spring compressor safely compress a 6 inch diameter spring?
It can be used on coil springs up to 5 5/8" outside diameter
