Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little bit rough I bought this for Christmas and when I removed the air cap I noticed that the threads have a burr that damaged the seal. I think I can fix the burr but will need a replacement cap.

I have a air compressor 125 psi max, 5.5 @90psi 4.9 @125 psi 125 psi max, will that be good for the contour pro paint guns.

Asked by: Mo253
You will need a compressor capable of 6.5 CFM @ 30 PSI. It sounds like your compressor may be a bit small.

I am looking for a gun I can use to spray sherwin williams kem aqua and other types of water alkyd enamels for cabinets and furniture. I'm thinking pressure feed would be best, I like the concours pro kit but not sure if gravity feed will work any suggest

Asked by: codiac888
With the Concours Pro kit you would get a multiple nozzles allowing you to spray a wide variety of coatings. While we have never sprayed the paints you refer to with proper thinning it should be possible. We do recommend contacting the paint manufacture to get their recommendation for paint gun types and nozzle sizes.

The new 3m PPS 2.0 adaptors are now being used. Do you know what # adaptors would be needed for both guns using the new system?

Asked by: Blake
It appears the full size gun will be the PPS number 2 adapter. For the detail gun we do not have a way to pull that information up.

Hi, I just received my concours pro 2 gun kit. Everything seems fine except for the "fan" knob on the big gun will not turn (open/close). I don't want to strip any screws/threads or anything. What do you suggest?

Asked by: Blake
A quick call to our Customer solutions team will be able to get you taken care of if your fan control knob is stuck. Their number is 1800 343 9353.

So this isn't the same as the Concours 2 gun? I already have a touch up gun, I just need a good full size, can't I buy just this gun?

Asked by: rick
This is a different gun than our Concours 2 and is available by itself without the kit. https://www.eastwood.com/concours-pro-hvlp-paint-gun-1-3mm.html

I'm looking at buying this kit but wondering if my compressor will be big enough. It's 40psi@5.1cfm? The psi is higher but the cfm is lower. Or would the concours 2 work better?

Asked by: brandon
Due to the low CFM output the Concour 2 would be a better option since it only needs 4.25 CFM.

I'm looking to buy the kit for my restoration job (66 Falcon). I think my compressor is up to the job, with 3hp, 100 liter capacity rated at 7.77 CFM and max 120 PSI. I'm respraying the whole car so wondering if the 600cc cup would be big enough?

Asked by: Tommo
The 600cc cup will be perfect for a whole paint job. No matter the cup size you will wind up refilling a couple of times.

so what size air compressor is best for this gun ? and what other size needle/nozzle can be used for the detail gun ?

Asked by: kevin8926
You will want a compressor that puts out more than 6.5 CFM @ 40 PSI. As for the detail gun it will come with a 1.0 and a 0.8 needle nozzle sets.
Answered by: Scott C

Trying to determine if I can use the concours pro system or only the concours system with my compressor. The output on my compressor is 5.8 cfm @ 40 psi and 4.7 cfm @ 90 psi.

Asked by: Jeff5115
Your compressor doesn't put out enough CFM to operate our Concours PRO.

hi I have 70 ft, run of air line at 3/8 dia. my compressor puts out 7.0 cmf at 40 psi would this gun set work. thanks

Asked by: ihmc
We would recommend stepping down to a 25 foot hose as the 70 foot hose will be too long. You will be right on the edge of what the compressor puts out vs what the paint gun requires.

I'm planning to buy this set, but I'm setting up the compressor first. All the compressors I've looked at list their CFM at 40 PSI but nothing lower. You list the requirements at 30 and 22psi. Any recommendation?

Asked by: LogicalDad
If the CFM rating is higher @40 PSI than what the gun calls for you will be perfectly fine.

Beginning hvlp sprayer, using for woodworking, are these good for woodworking cabinets etc. Are the caps and needles interchangeable on both guns and will i need to get the 2.2 for latex paints and urethanes.

Asked by: max the hammer
The large gun is the only one that can use the different size needles and nozzles in this kit. You should be able to spray a wide variety of paints and coatings with the 3 sizes in the kit. I would always recommend checking with the paint manufacturer to see what they recommend.

what 3M pps adapters do i need for these guns? are they two different paint cup thread sizes?

Asked by: tedl
The detail gun has M14 x 1.0 NPS paint cup attachment threads, the paint gun has M16 x 1.5 NPS paint cup attachment threads. Use 3M™ PPS™ Adapter 2, 16003 for the paint gun and 3M™ PPS™ Adapter 21, 16105 for the detail gun.

The concours gun was designed 100% with the home garage air supply in mind. To do this they had to keep air consumption down.

Do you have transfer efficiency ratings for the Concours Pro guns? Do they qualify as high transfer efficiency? Just wondering since they are listed as HVLP, but are significantly lower volume air flow.

Asked by: dan5

Full sized paint gun, I cannot get a good fan pattern. Fluid is full open 1/4 turn in, same with the fan. Paint recommends 29 PSI, I get an hour glass pattern. I have to drop the pressure down to the 22 PSI range to see a football? Any recommendations?
