The Eastwood 6” Random Orbital Air Sander is a heavy-duty, true professional quality orbital sander in a lightweight composite housing.

A milder 3/32” orbit for finer sanding jobs. Allows one handed operation with speed controlled by an infinitely variable hand paddle and rotary knob speed limiting control.

A very balanced ,smooth operating sander that is very easy to control with one hand. If it proves to be durable long term, I would have to say it’s the perfect sander.

Smooth operation
This little sander is perfect for knocking down the fine filler it saves endless hours of sanding. I recommend this sander to anyone who wants to save hours of sanding. I couldn't buy this fine finishing sander anywhere in New Zealand so purchasing from Eastwood was a great choice they are the shop guys who know there trade.

the video shows a 3/16 model, why cant i find it on the site?
Unfortunately we no longer sell the 3/16" option. This video is from several years back when they first came out and both were still available.

So 6 CFM at 90PSI i get from the specs, does it matter what size tank the compressor has?
Size of the tank isn't an issue as long as the compressor can replenish at a rate of 6 CFM or more. The larger the tank the less the motor will have to run which is important since most compressors are not designed to run 100% of the time.

What's the minimum compressor spec to run this sander continuously?
You'll need a compressor which can put out at least 6 CFM@ 90 PSI to run this sander continuously. All compressors will have a CFM output spec listed on the label @ 90 PSI.

I have this exact sander which type of soft spacer pad would I use that isn’t Velcro to make it stay on my da and my paper?
The only way to get interface pad is to switch to a hook and loop.

could i change the pad for this sander to a hook and loop pad, and then use with 800 grit with water for wet sanding clear coats for fast orange peel removal?
You certainly can swap the pad and use very fine sand paper. Just make sure to not submerge the sander. We have the Hook and Loop backing pad right here https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-6-in-h-l-backing-pad.html

This unit is a dual action sander which is simply another name for random orbital.

Can I use the Contour Pro 6in Random Orbital Sander 3/32 Orbit with Liquid Ice White Foam Finishing Pad 6in Item #12016 Brand: Norton? I would like to purchase the sander and use it also as a polisher. Is this possible?
Generally the RPM speed of these do not lend them to buffing very well. If you are looking to cut and buff with the liquid ice materials we recommend using our Eastwood buffer> https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-buffer-polisher.html
