Just 45 minutes south of Chicago, you'll find the Adcock brothers hard at work in their shop, Explosive Kustomz. Nick and Cyle were born and raised in a hot rod family despite the initial aspirations to pursue a more academic path. Their grandfather and father were both involved in the industry before him. The Adcock brother's early exposure to the world of custom car building began when they were toddlers, pushing themselves around the shop in a walker.

Over the past 20 years, Nick and Cyle honed their craft by working on neighbors' cars before eventually opening Explosive Kustomz. They credit the simplicity and user-friendliness of Eastwood products as "Key factors in my success, as they allow me to achieve professional results without the need for complicated mixing processes or equipment." In addition, Explosive Kustomz regularly visits Eastwood's Alsip store to stock up on supplies and enjoys face-to-face conversations with the staff, highlighting their preference for a personal touch.

Explosive Kustomz has operated for six years and earned a reputation as a skilled and knowledgeable shop builder and fabricator. Their love of custom car building runs deep, and their dedication to the craft is evident in the quality of their work. Despite early misgivings about the profession, they found their calling and continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of hot rods and custom cars. Nick is currently building a '64 International pickup for his wedding, and both are working on a '74 Opel Manta he plans to show off at SEMA in 2024.

This shop is filled with Eastwood products, including Chassis Black, Powder Coat, bead roll, 48-inch sheet metal brake, hand tools, and more. Their favorite product is Rust Encapsulator to help with the harsh winters.
