What about for Cerakote? Will it work for straining that or do i need finer?

Unfortunately since we do not sell this coating no testing has been done with Cerakote. You wold want to check with the manufacturer directly.

What is the right mesh to use for base coat / clear coat?

This will depend entirely on the material you're using. Metallic materials usually require a larger size. For solid colors and clear coats the filter size isn't as critical.
