Rated 4 out of 5 by from Repaired threads... I too had to repair the threads on one of the guns before I could screw the paint container onto it........

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK guns If you buy these guns because it comes with a case, dont. you have to break down the gun completly so it fits back in, and after market cleaning brushes wont fit in it either. I use a craftsman cantelever box instead, and I can keep both guns fully assembled with room for all the extra goodys I need, tips, screens, brush's etc. The wrench they suplly doesnt work that well, you wil need extra wrenches. the big gun sprays awsome, the small gun sprays lean, but its prabably my fault. I'm no pro. I recomend buying a better quality single gun with 3 tips, and make your own carry case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good kit Very nice kit to start panels with. The HVLP guns are very nice to use and lay down the liquids very well. Two issues: the 1.8mm tip is REALLY big and throws a lot of primer out. Better to switch to the 1.5mm tip and get better coverage. Second, the inlet to screw your air chuck in to is very soft. The same part on both guns stripped out on the first use. Be very gentle when tightening these down or have a few extra pieces handy. Overall a very good kit for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low end guns and equipment This is a good hobbiest setup and will work great for the paint jobs being done once or twice a year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fair to partly cloudy purchase! I don't regret the purchase, BUT, out of a two gun set, the primer gun leaks like a sieve. The top coat gun works well and lays down paint smooth, when you get the air pressure just right. The primer gun does a fair job on applying primer, but leaks from the packing nut the needle passes through, no matter how tight you put it. I guess getting 50 percent of what you pay for is the "new norm" for non-American made products. Remember, it's the person using the paint gun that produces the best finish.

DIY vehicle prime & paint at home - my compressor (nothing special): Husky, oil free, 33gal, 1.7hp, scfm@40=6.1, scfm@90=5.1 - will the DeVilbiss StartingLine Auto Paint Gun and Priming System work for me?

Asked by: Nick Ricky
That compressor will not supply enough air for this paint gun. The Starting line gun requires 13 CFM at 30 psi. I'd suggest using our Eastwood Concours paint gun, which only requires 4 CFM (within your compressor's capabilities). http://www.eastwood.com/ew-concours-paint-gun-w-3-tips-plasticandmetal-cup.html

Is the blue gun primer or base coat gun?

Asked by: eyreme518
One of the guns will have the 1.3 and the other with a 1.8 technically the tips are interchangeable and can be swapped to your liking of which gun you would want to be dedicated to paint or primer.

Are the guns the same or is there a difference between the two?

Asked by: Shelby17
The guns are the same, just with color coded control knobs on one to make it easier to identify for whatever use you choose - primer, base, or clear.
