If you buy the Eastwood filter system, this is a minor expense. Don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t include this in your purchase.

Air Dryer
This device is very solid in comparison to some plastic ones. I have put it in series with a plastic version -- first into the plastic one and then by hose of about 10 ft. into the Eastwood one. I need the dry air for my plasma cutter which is a powerMax 30XP

QC3 air filter and dryer
For any small home shop this filter / dryer is a good addition to your air system. I've been using it to paint with and my results have been great. Hard to judge how clean the air actually is without some test equipment, but the air seems to be moisture free. The regulator is accurate and linear. Can't go wrong with this unless you want to invest more in your air system.

DVB QC 3 Air Filter Desiccant Refill
Really filters out moisture from the compressor and air lines as well as any particulates. Easy to replace in the filter housing.

Do the dryers have the reusable beads?
You can pop off the metal retention washer on the top and empty the silica gel desiccant beads onto a pan, then bake at 250-300f for about 3 hours.
You can also put color changing beads in so you will know when they are wet and when they are dry in the oven. Then simply fill the cartridge back up and you are good to go!

I got this to upgrade my cfs system. The only problem is I don’t have a sight glass. The cfs just has a plug
Our CFS system does not have a sight glass option. Only the Devilbiss QC3 does.

Where do i get the paper dots that show when its time to replace the Desiccant refill?
This Humidity indicator arrives in the [package upon purchase of a new desiccant cartridge https://www.eastwood.com/dvb-qc3-air-filter-desiccant-refill.html. We do not sell these humidity indicators/papers separate.

Looking at my CFS system the stud that holds the filter seems to be about 2.5" to short to use with this filter, am i missing something or mounting it wrong?

I took notice that this filter #31882 has a flat washer to install it and it comes with the #31633 filter canister. I am looking at replacing it with the Devilbiss filter #130524, but it comes with a curved washer. Where do I get the curved washer?
