Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dynamat Dynaliner 1/4" I used this product to re-insulate the roof of my C-4 Corvette when I replaced the factory headliner and its backing on the lift-off fiberglass top. Very easy to handle, trim and apply, which made the job a snap. I chose Dynaliner for its super light weight, which is vital to keeping the top a manageable weight. Insulating qualities seem excellent. Very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Dynaliner is a great choice for places where a thicker material than Dynamat is needed or in places where the appearance of Dynamat would be objectionable. The material was easy to work with and adhered very well. We'll see how it holds up.

Is this material flammable or will it deteriorate if close to the engine? I would like to use this on my fiberglass boat engine cover to reduce noise.

Asked by: Bill
Dynamat doesn't have any flammability specifications on this product. The intended design behind this product is to cover the interior of a car. We have a product call Heat and Sound barrier which is heat resistant up to 600F and will knock down sound and heat from coming through the engine cover. https://www.eastwood.com/heat-and-sound-barrier-coating-1-5-gallon-kit.html

Would this product work well on work van walls to eliminate dent throughs to the exterior? Would using coating material enhance the protection?

Asked by: artorius
Unfortunately none of the heat and sound reducing products are designed to protect against dents. While it is possible we would have no data to say one way or the other if it would help.
