Description
In comparison to Thoriated (red) and Pure (green) electrodes, the Multi Mix (Pink) electrodes are less harmful to the environment and not radioactive. They offer excellent arc starting and stability characteristics and consistent welding properties. Suitable for all applications in both DC and AC welding for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper and magnesium alloys. The 1/16" Multi Mix (10 pack) electrodes also offer an increased current carrying capacity and longer service life than Thoriated or Pure electrodes

we have tested a lot of tungsten’s over the years, and I have always been partial to the purple. After using the pink on carbon and stainless they are equivalent in performance. I have also noticed they hold a tighter arc on AC when using about 70% negative balance. A nice all around electrode

What is the difference between pink and purple tungsten?
Both the Pink and the E3 Purple are very similar and used the same way. They maintain the same properties and are both multi mix Non-Thoriated, Non-Radioactive and Non-Carcinogenic. They are both created with a proprietary mix of oxides of rare earths that make them a safe, longer lasting better welding tungsten that maintains better arc stabilization. Both of these tungsten rods are universal in nature and can practically weld any metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. These Rods are the New alternative to 2% Thoriated tungsten rods of the past.
