I called Eastwood and they were shipped the following day. once the parts arrived i made some pieces out of 22 gauge steel it worked just fine the shear worked easily and the slip roll was easy to use. Also tried some aluminum sheet and worked well with the same results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great small shop tool I just received my 3 in 1 and even right out of the box after set up it was easy to use, and I can see where it may struggle with 18 gauge but I had no problem doing basic things with 20 gauge. Roller was smooth operating, bender was easy to see and use. Shear worked and on a standard workbench height was simple enough to use. Handle can be mounted on either side of the machine which is nice. Crated for delivery and arrived with no damage. I'm looking forward to doing small projects around the shop with it.

Questions & Answers

Can this machine flatten a piece of 22 ga. sheet copper. The roller seems to only be able to coil pieces. Can one of the three rollers be removed to allow the sheet to come out flatter? I bought this machine to flatten the cut edges of sheet copper pieces

Hi Nick, Thanks for the input. Feeding the piece in backwards just coils it in the opposite direction. The machine does work to straighten or even out cut edges deformed from using hand shears, but I was hoping to avoid having to hammering the whole piece flat with a mallet for my purpose afterwards. can we cut a 1/8 '' thick plastic? what is the height that the knife lifts?

The shearing edge lifts 3/4" off the base, but it will not work for 1/8" plastic.

How will this work on aluminum license plates ?

As long as those plates are thinner than the max 16ga aluminum and will fit in the 12" dimensions you should have no issues using this machine.

Can I make a 2-1/2" radius in 0.05" 6Al-4V (grade 5) annealed titanium alloy? Also what about a 2" radius in 0.05" Inconel 625 or Alloy X?

I have a coil of 8" wide, .01" thick aluminum foil. Can I use the slip roller to flatten 6" long pieces of the foil and take out the curl from the coil?

While it may be possible to feed the coil through backwards we wouldn't be able to say 100% if it would work as we design and test this tool to take a flat piece of metal and make it a cylindrical shape.
