Large Bowl Size to Achieve Maximum Tumbling Action>
Suitable for Parts Up To 10" Long
18 lbs. Maximum Capacity Parts and Media
Operates on 120 VAC 15 amp ground fault circuit
Vibratory Tumblers offer thorough, gentle cleaning - Automatically - Now you can thoroughly clean and polish small pieces and hardware without the risk of getting them "launched" by a wire wheel. Gentle vibratory tumbling action with the Green Light-Cut Media removes rust from nuts and bolts without rounding edges. Simply stop the tumbler when parts are de-rusted. A brilliant luster can then be achieved by using the Dry Shine Media. The vibratory action works more quickly than a rotating tumbler.
Vibratory tumblers thoroughly clean and polish small parts and hardware, leaving you free to work on other projects. Use the green media to gently remove paint; use the corncob media to lightly polish. When the parts reach the desired luster, they’re ready to be put back in service. The heavy duty vibratory tumbler system includes: 1 bowl, 7 lbs of paint removing media, 7 lbs polishing media, instructions.
Assure electrical cord and plug is in safe working condition before use. Do not allow the plug to be exposed to water or moisture. Assure the bowl is securely tightened to the tumbler base before use. If tumber is to be operated for extended periods securely clamp or bolt the unit to the work bench.
Add 7 lbs of green rust cutting media and up to ll lbs of bolts, brackets, washers etc. Large enough capacity for underhood hardware, suspensions bolts and small brackets. Rust removal will take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on severity. Once rust is removed, rinse parts with clean water or Pre and put back in the tumbler with 7 lbs of dry shine media.

Great Item. Terrible packaging.Just received today. Packaging is terrible! Box is way to light of a cardboard. Box was ripped open and taped shut. Maybe a UPS fault but not sure. Once removed from the box the item is in perfect condition. I love the results!

It works so you don't have to.This really frees up my time to work on other projects. I've been impressed with how well it cleans small bits and pieces from my motorcycle projects. It's relatively quiet as it does its thing sitting on the bench.
The only downside is dust and media settle on the wing nut holding down the bowl causing the nut to be difficult to remove.

Game changer for cleaning partsI bought this for cleaning the multitude of nuts and bolts for restoring my cars. It does an AMAZING job - far better (and easier) than me sandblasting or wire brushing every part. I've even gone as far as tossing in carb and speedometer parts and it does a fantastic job. Even really nasty, dirty and greasy parts come out looking good. Rarely do I have to do an additional wire brushing, but when I do, it's already 85% of the way once it's done in the tumbler. I can't emphasize how happy I am with this product!

Listed as an 18lb tumbler but how much media is actually needed? For example, if I put 10lb of media in at $33 / 2lb that would be $165 worth of media. Is that right? Seems to be impractically expensive. How long does the media last?
Asked by: DeSoto
18lbs is the total weight capacity, including the parts you place in it plus the media. Please read the instructions for further details on parts to media ratio for effective usage: https://www.eastwood.com/images/pdf/20153Q_inst.pdf
The media does not need to be replaced with every use, it can typically lasts many uses depending on what is being done.

Can this tumbler give high finishes to small parts machines from different alloys?
Asked by: Heron
Yes this will be prefect application for small machined parts of different alloys.
You would need to match the correct media to the hardness of the alloy. Only place matching alloys in each tumbling batch. No hard with soft etc.

How can I buy parts for an 18 pound tumbler? I bought one on craigslist and noticed the seller conveniently "improvised" a few things

Please contact our Sales team by emailing help@eastwood.com. This will need to be done as a parts request most likely.
