Great on Thermoplastic, Questionable on AluminumThis stuff was fantastic on steel and plastic body panels and trim. Not so great on my aluminum hood, problems with adhesion and steaky washed off areas when cleaning up dust and abrasive debris with Eastwood Eco Friendly paint prep. Went back a made sure that I got a good clean metal surface with an appropriate scuffing before had to use something other than the 2K primer to get coverage that would survive the cleaning process prior to color coat. Learned a lesson, now I am sure that the 2K primer will work fine on anything but aluminum.
Can I put this over the Eastwood 2K Aerospray gloss black caliper paint to achieve a black satin finish? Or will it still show up super shiny like gloss black?

A satin clear will dull out and tone down the gloss for sure. But, you may want to choose a high heat clear or caliper clear for that application.

Can i use this product over a 1K urethane base coat. If so do I put it on over fresh paint or wait till the base is dry.

Yes, you can apply a 2K clear coat over 1K paint. Ensure the 1K paint is fully cured before applying the 2K clear coat. If the 1K paint is not fully cured, the solvents in the 2K clear coat may cause wrinkling or lifting.
