Eastwood's 2K Ceramic Chassis Black is a super-durable coating that's not only beautiful, but also tough as nails. Our proprietary formula imbeds finely ensures a high-quality 2K (2-component) 4:1 urethane base to create the ultimate, factory-correct finish. You'll need 2 quarts of Chassis Black for a full-frame vehicle.
You asked for a tough, super-durable chassis coating, so our R&D team developed Eastwood's 2K Ceramic Chassis Black. It's a chip- and chemical-resistant coating with incredible abrasion- and UV-resistance, fast dry times and a finish that's second to none. When laid over Eastwood's 50242ZP 2K Epoxy Primer, it gives you a no-worry finish that will last and last. Withstands up to 300 degreesF. Each quart covers 50 sq. ft. in 2 coats (a full-frame vehicle requires 2 quarts).
Easy 4:1 mix with the activator included; spray with a 1.3mm or larger nozzle HVLP spray gun. For professional use only. Contains isocynates; proper respiratory protection must be used. Product information sheet - Click Here

(A) Generally 2K Ceramic Chassis Black can be applied over most thoroughly cured finishes (finishes that cannot be indented with a thumbnail). Scuff first with 320-600-grit sandpaper and test a small area before coating the entire area. If lifting occurs, remove the lifting paint, sand the surrounding area, and seal the surface by priming first with 50242ZP Epoxy Primer mixed with 50243ZP Epoxy Primer Catalyst. NOTE: Eastwood Epoxy Primer can be reduced up to 20% with 50104ZP Universal Zero-VOC Urethane Reducer to use strictly as a sealer.

How long can I wait to apply a second coat of the 2k chassis paint with out scuffing the first coat?
You will be able to do this as soon as 30/35 minutes up until 12 hours. After about 18 hours this will have fully cured and will need to be abraded first.

Can I use your black epoxy primer without a top coat and will it last on a surface of a steel fence?
Yes it can be used without a top coat but over time it will start to oxidize. it is always best to top coat with a durable exterior grade urethane paint.
