This standard aerosol can contains the paint and activator, but the activation doesn’t occur until they are sprayed out of the can and hit the air and become a highly durable two component coating, just like you would typically mix and spray out of a paint gun.

Go for a throwback style on restomods and muscle cars by using Eastwood 2K DuraSpray™ Matte Black Automotive Spray Paint. Our single-stage topcoat offers the great looks of an HVLP finish in a convenient simple aerosol spray can. The durable epoxy formula has excellent resistance to corrosion, chemicals, UV rays and heat. Simply shake and spray to mix the paint and activator for quick, easy and great-looking results. The flat black finish gives parts a sneaky look straight off the Barrett Jackson auction floor.
This is the best matte black spray for metal, existing OEM/custom finishes, primer and common automotive plastics. DuraSpray will stick like traditional paints even if you don’t have primer. Our black matte spray paint has an unlimited pot life, and you can use the same can for touch-up work up to three years after the initial coating. IMPORTANT TIP: When finished spraying, always turn the can upside down and spray for a few seconds until no pigment is noted in the spray. This will clear out the valve and nozzle and prevent the coating from hardening. Failure to perform this action will cause the paint to harden in the valve/nozzle and will make the can unusable.
For best durability and chemical resistance this paint must be topcoated with Eastwood DuraSpray Clearcoat.
Drying and curing times may be affected by temperature and humidity and will take longer to fully cure in cool, dry environments. Multiple lighter, thin coats will provide the best results. Apply thin coats until fully covered.
