Same as dewalt, almost half the priceBought one about a year ago in a farm+home store. $450 and noticed it was the same one as our shop had for the oil burner, except it was half the price and the one in the shop was painted yellow! Picked it up, immediately hooked up into my home shop and it went to work. Pulled the drain valve at the bottom and replaced it with a pull type drain valve you typically see on semi’s. Helps with ease of the whole process. I drain daily as buildup will rot your tank
I’m not sure how to rate it, it builds air fine. Works like a normal compressor. The plug where you run your air from was leaking when I got it aired up the first time, just unscrewed and put some sealant on it. She’s golden! I’ve noticed with sand blasting the compressor gets very warm, (To be expected) but seems like you could almost seize the thing if you ran for extended periods of time. I’ve been doing max of 30 minutes, changing the oil every couple months with a synthetic oil with fair amounts of zinc to help with wear. Seems to be holding up fine. Been about two years of moderate use, changed the oil 5-6 times. No noticeable metal shavings to be concerned with.
It is not very quiet, and seems you’ll need one heck of a DIY muffler. As it’s pretty much unable to have anything bolted to it. Not a deal breaker but if having something quiet is what you’re looking for this may not be your first choice.
I would recommend it, for the price and longevity I’ve had so far no complaints that would make me turn people away.
Doing 4 stars, because of noise, and the heat from the compressor makes me a tad uneasy. But would be great for use with small air tools such as impacts and die grinders. And occasionally sandblasting. If I can update this. I will include the part number of another compressor that fits and had the ability to have mufflers. Hopefully, a dual stage

Eastwood 60 GallonThe unit does a great job of keeping up with all the air tools. At 13.4 CFM, using the HLVP guns perform as they should. Filling the 60 gallon tank takes a bit.....not a big negative. The big negative is the noise. Man that thing is loud. Been looking for way to make the intake more remote......haven't noodled that out yet. The noise is the only reason I gave it a 4 star. I suppose I could look to locate it someplace else, like the neighbors garage! What makes this unit really sweat is that there was a "special" going on when I was in the showroom. At $489.00 I couldn't pass it up.

Very Disappointingi bought this compressor after my Harbor Freight one failed after only a year. Well this one failed after only an hour. I received it, bolted it to my shop floor, hooked it up to a new rapid air system, had it wired by an electrician, turned it on for 30 minutes "open," brought it up to pressure, let some air out, waited for it to kick on, and it groaned a bit then quit. That was it DEAD! So far, customer service has been good and agreed to come pick it up and issue a refund. But, what a PITA!!!! I ordered the 4.7hp version in the hopes of having better results.
How many amps does it draw? Circuit requirement? Does it come with wiring instructions?
Asked by: Dave K
The Eastwood 60 Gallon Belt Driven 3.7HP Air Compressor with a 3.7 HP motor operating at 230V with a current draw of 17.5 amps. Therefore, it's advisable to use a dedicated 25-amp breaker to ensure safe and efficient operation. The compressor does not come with a power plug and is intended to be hardwired into your electrical system. The owner's manual emphasizes the importance of having the unit installed by a licensed electrician to comply with local electrical codes and ensure safety. Proper grounding and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) are crucial.

Can I use this compressor with a 8700 peak/7000 running watt generator ?
Asked by: Rick95
While we have never tested this unit on a generator this unit will pull 5800 watts. So your generator would be large enough.

Where can you get the isolation and shims for mounting the unit to the floor?
Asked by: Mike
At this time we do not have the isolating rings. These could be fabricated out of thick pieces of rubber.

i am thinking about putting this outside (covered), next to my garage, can it be run in the cold temperatures of the north east?
Asked by: Jeff
These are best stored in an area in which it never gets colder than you feel comfortable working in.
