A vise bolted solidly to a bench is the cornerstone from which a workshop is built. This 8 inch industrial quality, ductile iron vise is as solid as they come. It features a lockable swivel mount, 8 inch wide jaws and an anvil body. The handles and screw are chrome plated, and the rest of the vise is a durable Eastwood blue, so it will continue to look good for many years of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely “The Hulk” of vice’s Bought this about a month ago, and just finished installing it on my workbench. I already own an old school 4” Wilton on one end of my bench, and with this addition of Eastwood’s 8” on the other end there definitely won’t be a job I won’t be able to clamp onto. I have to say, I was a bit skeptical on the U channel design of the sliding beam of the vice, when compared to the solid price on the Wilton, but now that I have one on hand, I have to say it is a very well built vice, and super affordable. I say if your skeptical wether to get the 6” or the 8”, get the 8”. Go big, or go home, lol!! The anvil portion of the vice is a sweet feature, along with the teeth under the vice jaws made to clamp pipe. My Wilton has neither of these features. Do take the advice tip offered on Eastwood’s video, and mount it so the vice inner jaw flushes out with the edge of your work bench.

The jaws hold well and the sliding action of the shank is smooth. The swivel base has great movement and swivels easily. Very good product for the money. Highly recommend this bid boy!

What is the bolt down pattern? i.e., how is the base plate configured? 3 holes, 4 holes, ??? I need to match an existing 3 hole pattern in my slate work bench top.

Our 8 inch vise has a 3 hole bolt down base. The front two holes are 6" apart and the front to back hole measurement is 8.5 inches.
