Questions & Answers

Can you use a propane torch instead of a gas welding torch set up?

Asked by: Martin
As long as you can heat the area to the range needed, you would be fine. Map gas may allow you to get the surface hotter.

Do I actually need a defuser tip or can I just turn gas down with a standard tip?

Asked by: DEAN
You'll need to force the heat in a more broad area than just a standard tip. This is the purpose behind the difuser tip.

Is this product compatible with original , old school body lead ? Will they mix ? And will it adhere to the old lead to finish the repair ? What primer? Etching or epoxy

Asked by: Paul
Since the lead free has a higher melting point you would not want to mix the too. The old lead will melt before you get a chance to flow the new lead free stick. Our Epoxy primer is the best primer to use over bare metal.

CAN THIS PRODUCT BE USED ON ALUMINUM?

Asked by: HARLEYSPORT557
This will stick to aluminum if tinned properly. However, we have not tested longevity and durability directly on aluminum surfaces so we would not be able to advise you to do so.
