Description

Eastwood Super Flakes come in a variety of awesome colors and effects. Super flakes are .004 or about 100 microns in size. Customize your project and create different looks using different color bases, Candeez and clears. Eastwood flakes are compatible with Eastwood Elastiwrap, Eastwood Candeez, Urethane clears, as well as basecoats and single stage urethanes. Packaged in 50 gram jars. Recommended add, 50 grams per gallon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful fakes Sprayed 2 coats of clear with this silver fakes. Excellent results. Sparkles and shines. Must keep shaking paint gun to keep the flakes settling out, I got a some concentrated patterns for not shaken the gun before spraying.

What size flake is in a standard factory metallic paint? or is it a pearl rather than a flake?

The flake size will vary depending on color. some of our larger flaked colors will be around 55 microns whereas some of our finer metallics will be around 17 microns in size.

Can these flakes be added to oil based trk.and tractor paint

Yes, this flake additive should be fine to mix into the paint in reference. Typically about a tablespoon per quart is recommended with oil based coatings.

Yes, but it may just disappear in the materiel. You would need to do a test panel to determine how visible it would be.

Your flake should be added after you strain the paint to ensure the particles do not get caught in the filter.

Can these be mixed with powdercoat? And can they be sprayed using the powder coat gun?

We do not recommend mixing these with powders since they may not handle the heat to cure the powder.
