Description

Eastwood Burn Out Blue Metallic - This classic medium blue metallic is understated and simple, yet it remains a favorite year after year.

Eastwood's premium Single-Stage Acrylic Urethane Topcoat provides exceptional long-lasting beauty and durability.

  • Catalyzed urethane for unsurpassed durability
  • Highly resistant to UV rays, chemicals, chips
  • Makes 1 sprayable gallon when mixed 3:1 with a required activator
  • Approximate coverage: 125 SQ FT
  • Flake/Pearl Particle size: 10-60 microns
  • Max Temperature: Paint will handle up to 300 degrees without delamination, but color shift may occur, so it should not be used in a high heat setting
  • Made in the USA

This premium 2-component topcoat system is blended with top-quality raw materials and advanced composition coatings technology. Superior to acrylic, alkyd and lacquer coatings. Eastwood's single-stage urethane paints hold their gloss longer and won't yellow.

  • Pro Tip: When spraying Single Stage Metallic and Pearl Paints, you can improve appearance by using the special additive Metalli-Flow Metallic Paint Enhancer to help lock and stabilize metallic and pearl particles for a perfect finish.

  • application_ax
When spraying a single stage metallic or pearl paint, we suggest mixing in the additive Metalli-Flow Metallic Paint Enhancer at a 3:1:1 ratio to prevent mottling and to get the best results and appearance possible.

Im going to clear it, how long do I need to let it cure before I can?

    Asked by: Ballzmckgee
You may optionally clearcoat with any of Eastwood’s Urethane clear coats after the final coat has flashed, but before 18 hours have passed. After 18 hours the surface must be abraded with 400 - 600 grit before clear coating. Flash-off Time 5 - 10 min. at 20°C (68°F). Dry Times 15 - 20 min. at 20°C (68°F). Can be taped after 8 hours. Wait 12 hours to polish. Wait 18 hours to handle. If recoating after 18 hours, first the surface must be abraded.

3:1 Burnout Blue Metallic - Single Stage need Clear coat?

Do you need a silver base coat for this paint? Or can you spray over 2K primer?

    Asked by: JJCT70
It does not indicate it needs to be sprayed over a silver base coat. Pro Tip: When spraying Single Stage Metallic and Pearl Paints, you can improve appearance by using the special additive Metalli-Flow Metallic Paint Enhancer to help lock and stabilize metallic and pearl particles for a perfect finish.
