so far so good, brushes on nice and looks good after a couple coats. ive yet to see how well it handles heat and oil

Finish looks terrible using foam brush, maybe would be better sprayed

What surface prep is recommended for a cast aluminum engine, prior to applying this?
Scuff surface with a scotch guard pad and use pre paint prep to thoroughly clean surface before applying

Does this product need to be thinned prior to spraying? How glossy is the end product if the activator is used? How durable is it if the activator is omitted or reduced? It would be helpful if the application instructions were
Thinned 4parts color- 1part activator- 1/2part Glasurit 352-91 normal reducer(what I had around) when I used this on my block. Does not need thinning but spray characteristics are improved when thinned. Sheen is eggshell and cures to a very durable finish. Have also used this paint on front/rear subframes, rain gutter trim etc..

Does this paint require the 2K high temp primer?
This is a direct to metal paint so it does not need a primer. However, we do offer one for advanced adhesion and durability if desired

Can I brush this paint onto my engine block? Is there any special prep I need to do for a cast iron engine block?
