Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not my first Love Bought on a whim. I thought I would take it on a test drive. After the use of honest profanity and some vulgar gesturing I broke out my 3M regulator and pitched what came in the kit. After the mod - smooth sailing. So, Eastwood Concours Pro 0-80 PSI Air Regulator SKU: 31834 the Perfect “on the gun” regulator. NOT ! The gun stands tall. Kit components are FLUFF (verb) make something appear fuller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it . I bought this paint gun kit a year ago . And I love it . The more I use it . The more I love it . I watch Kevin tetz video on how to setup the gun . And that made it a alsome gun .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality - buy this instead of HF Junk Never believe the Amazon or Harbor Freight reviews on HVLP cheap $15-30 each guns - they are disposable and offer nowhere near the adjustability or Durability of this Gun...Upon unboxing and cleaning the quality is evident - real seals and bushing vs paper based seals that last for two cleanings...Added benefit of this kit is the storage case and the two nozzle sizes...Now let’s discuss how it sprays...Completely adjustable to you paint viscosity and spraying style and the best thing is once you set the Gun for a pattern you like it stays that way due to the low CFM consumption and very durable design..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gun I haven’t painted in fourth years back then a Binks 7. I was so impressed with this gun it like I haven’t taken the time off. Here is a helmet I did as a test for a bike I am getting to do later this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gun for the money I bought this as a first time painter to paint a pickup box and it did a great job no spits or sputters laid paint down well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gun for woodworking I needed a nice gun to spray urethane on custom furniture that would work with a smallish portable DeWalt compressor rated at 5.7L @ 90 psi. I dilute the urethane 1:19 (5%) and use the 1.7mm setup with the regulator set at 20 psi. I spray at a fairly fast pace of around 1 foot/second. It lays down a glass smooth finish, and I've been completely satisfied with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gun Bought this to use with my small little compressor for a truck im building. Ended up getting an 80 gallon compressor but still wanted to try this gun out. Used it for epoxy primer and it worked awesome. This was my first time painting anything and it made me look like i knew what i was doing. Looking forward to laying down some color with this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Gun Very quality piece at a good price. Dual tips is very handy to have. Having a pressure regulator is critical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Matt Hoover I have a portable 30 gal. compressor for some of the jobs I do. I needed a gun that could handle lower cfm so I ordered this set. I have painted two high end flats boats with this set using Awlrip paint. This gun is a beautiful thing. It whispers paint! Beautiful results. I am beyond pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for smaller compressors I bought the original Concours a few years back and was so impressed by it that I had to get the version 2. As expected it worked awesome. Only downside is the regulator stopped working halfway through my paint job but luckily I had a spare regulator laying around. Definitely looking into buying the touch-up gun next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made me look like a painter This is my first experience painting an engine compartment and it turned out better than I thought. I watched a few how to videos, bought the gun and thought I would give it a try. I bought it because I don't have a large compressor and it handled this job without any problems. Nice spray pattern. Looking forward to painting more of my project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gun for the money! I bought this gun about a month ago during a repair project on my daughter’s truck. I have shop air but wanted a gun that could lay down some base/clear. This gun performed excellent! It really laid down the clear coat better than my skill should allow. Also it is so efficient, I had a lot of clear left. I will be buying another one in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, works very well I used it to spray on a high build primer and using a 29gal compressor no jiggers or or anything painted smoothly and evenly the whole time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I finally got to use this spray gun! I had been waiting for a month to use this gun. When I got it, I went to clean it per the instructions, and found that seal was messed up. I called Eastwood, they had me a new seal in 2 days. The gun spayed perfectly today using the 1.7 tip with epoxy primer. If I didn't have a small amount of body work to do in one spot. I could easily sprayed my base coat right over. The primer came out and laid that smooth. Thanks Eastwood great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding gun Bought this gun 2 paint some trim work and spare parts for my street rod. This gun can make a novice look like a pro. Primer Surfacer sprays great with the included 1.7 tip. The 1.3 tip lays basecoat clearcoat down beautifully . Compressor cycling is minimal due to the low scfm usage of the gun. I sprayed the base and primer at 26lbs and the clear at 29lbs. Could not be happier with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Gun for the price!! Must Have!! Bought this gun about a month ago and just now got to use it for spraying a two part epoxy primer for my new project boat. Bought this gun because of the low CFM requirment. Was skeptical of this but after using it a few tims now i am really impressed. Perfect atomization and the air regulator works perfectly. By far the best gun ive used and i can run it all day with my 8 gal husky air compressor. 5.5cfm at 40psi. Cant go wrong with this gun, i will be buying nothing but eastwood guns if this holds up over time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice paint Gun, storage case could be refined. Works great, like the product and comes with regulator and air fitting. My one knock is that I wish the regulator did not have to be removed every time it goes back in the case.
Date published: 2021-09-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice kit for the money... i hope it lasts as long as the original concours gun did...
Date published: 2020-07-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Huge upgrade from my Chineses knock off I only have a 30 gallon compressor. So I needed a lower cfm gun. My previous gun was lower cfm, but didn’t put enough paint out and was only good for small jobs. This gun is great for bigger jobs if you don’t have a 60 or 80 gallon compressor.
Date published: 2020-05-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice gun, first time painting. I biught this gun because of the size of my compressor and the gun worked great on I got the settings right. I shot single stage Interstate Black with it and had little to no orange peel after getting the settings dialed in. After a little wet sanding and buffing, I was in awe of the outcome as it was my very first time painting. I don't have any experience with any other guns to compare this to so it is a nice gun to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems good First impression is that this is a pretty decent HVLP gun. Shipping was lightning quick as I o my ordered it 2 days ago and it was free shipping! I'm new to the automotive painting world and I decided on this gun based on the low required CFM. I have yet to spray with it as my project is not yet at that stage but overall first impression of the gun is good. My only complaint so far is that there are visable manufacturing defects on the body of the spray gun. My gun has a few pits in it as well as some edges that are somewhat sharp compared to the rest of the gun thats been made smooth. I do not mind these minor imperfections so long as it preforms well and I will update on that once I've actually used it.
Date published: 2017-11-23
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Have better spray guns... This is not a high quality spray gun and I didn't expect it to be at the price point. Even using "real" wrenches the gun was very difficult to get apart to change the needle and initial cleaning. Almost as if a thread locker was used on the hardware, actually pulled a bit of aluminum thread from the gun taking it apart. Aside from that the operation and spray was...let's say OK.
Date published: 2021-08-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Right out of the box Right out of the box this paint gun never worked. The fan to atomize was skewed to one side. Tried cleaning etc. to no avail. I might have just got a bad one but I'm not impressed. Mine is junk.

Can I spray High Build Primer with this gun?

Yes and no. You could get some High Build urethane primers through this if they are reduced slightly with the 1.7mm nozzle; but you would not be likely to get a Polyester high build through this option.

I'm trying to spray motorcycle fairings with this gun what size compressor would meet the minimum requirements for this

Asked by: Anfrny
This paint gun only requires 4cfm@30psi. The smallest compressor we have that could technically run this would be this option https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-29-gallon-single-stage-compressor.html However with such a small tank size the air will deplete itself at a fast rate- ideally for a whole vehicle a minimum of a 60 gallon compressor should be used.

My concours 2 hvlp gun sprays air/paint out around the trigger, the little rubber ring is in their but no matter what my gun keeps back spraying air/paint Tried it with a eastwood 3:1 paint numerous times

Asked by: Nic B
We would recommend trying to tighten the nut in which the needle passes through in front of the trigger to put a bit more pressure on the seal. If this doesn't help then contact our Tech team for further assistance at Tech@Eastwood.com.

I have 9.5 Cfm @ 90 compressor is this to big for this gun or is there a better gun for my use to spray any materials with

Asked by: Bill58
It is always acceptable to run a compressor that puts out more than the air tool or paint gun requires. This just means that your compressor won't have to work hard to supply the correct air to this paint gun.

Is this gun compatible with acrylic metallic base coats? The P-sheet calls for 1.3 mm nozzle at 30 psi. I saw an answer to another question here that states the gun is recommended for "non-metallic" paints.

Asked by: Highperf4x4
This paint gun is not "ideal" for our metallic finishes since we utilize an acrylic urethane base. Typically for this a 1.4-1.5mm is used. You can get away with using a 1.7mm but it would not be ideal. We have other paint gun options with better nozzle set selections for this application.

Yes, as long as the paint type you plan to use can be sprayed through HVLP paint guns in general it should certainly work. PPG especially would be perfectly fine to utilize in these paint guns.
