Rated 5 out of 5 by from contour premium body filler I like contour body filler because it goes on smooth and sands just as smooth and easy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Filler Goes on smooth and sands even smoother. It’s honestly my favorite body filler. My favorite thing about this filler is that it dries fairly quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best filler Easy to use, spreads daily and sands smooth. There were no pinholes or air bubbles. I will buy this one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product I highly recomend! The filler actually works better then I expected, its a bit runnier then other products I have used in the past but I am sure that helps with the blending process. I also notices that it takes less hardener then I am used to, so beware how much you add as it flashes really quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product great filler! Purchased this after I watched Eastwood live( I know) mixes easy, spreads even easier. Sanding is a breeze .i am old school Bondo hah. This is great stuff will never purchase Bondo again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product! hardens like armor when used right! First off, I am NOT a professional body tech. I grew up in the poor folks sector that scrounged and used anything and everything cheap. that said, I've had experience with a whole bunch of different body materials. more than I'd like in some cases. first thing I did was test a small blob of it with both cream and liquid hardener and it works great with both. (I prefer the cream because the color changes as it mixes). It goes on smooth and pretty much bubble-less (IF you've done your prep correctly) . I do suggest you do your buildups in stages and try not to slop as, once its hard? its not an easy sand without a Disc sander. I even smacked it with a hammer to see if I could fracture it and... nothing! so, for all the negative remarks? learn to test your product if you've never used it... this stuff rocks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Body Filler I've been doing body work for over 40 yrs. and this filler is great. I like that it's smooth and lite, and when applied it doesn't leave alot of pin holes like others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stuff I had been out of the game for years so to speak. I had always used Rage in the past. Tried this product and I love it! VERY smooth. To me it is easier to work than Rage. Feathers out like a dream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Body Filler I've Used I've tried a variety of different body fillers on my old car/truck restorations. Eastwood's body filler has always performed consistently better than all other body filling products available elsewhere. And the filler has always been very durable. No cracking, no flaking off, no problems adhering to properly prepared surfaces. A must for all quality body work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Bonding, Easy to Apply I'm building a Chopped 52 Chevrolet and I used this for the body work. Excellent Bonding Characteristics. It spreads very smoothly with no air bubbles. Sanding was a little harder if you waited longer, but it smooths out very nicely. Excellent Product that I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good stuff I am restoring my 58 Dodge an this is the best stuff, it will mix great an the thing I like is the creamy texture . It goes on so creamy smooth an it will sand great. I also like to use the re surfer . It will help get the straight panels in shorter time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best filler I've used First off I am more a welder than a body man and this is the first time I've used any thing other than bondo. It is great, no air bubbles, it seems to bond better, and for finishing welds on sheet metal it is excellent. The project I'm currently working on the previous owner cut the front fenders, common on a jeep, however replacement fenders are $500 each which makes each fender more than the purchase price of the jeep. I took some damaged fenders that I already had, sectioned out the pieces that were missing and welded them in. With the help of this filler on the area of the welds on both sides you can't tell they were ever cut. Very happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as stated. it does require patience. I have used this product on and off over a couple years. It works great. It has been used in areas that I know has some chance of flexing.. I am restoring a 60 Triumph TR 3 and the inner fender wells on the front and back will flex. I used it over welds where new sheet metal was welded in. No issues. It took me a few tries to get the amount of hardener just right. It does take a few hours to set up. Even then it has a tacky feeling. I found that if I take a small knife blade and gently scrape the surface, it will remove the portion of the resin that comes to the surface. Then I took some used 60 grit sand paper to to scuff off the surface before taking a new piece of 60 grit sand paper to It. I am very happy with the product. It does stay flexible and moves with the metal so you do not get stress cracks. Do not expect to sand it down until several hours has gone by. BE SURE to stir up the contents of the can to mix it thoroughly, as the liquid will separate from the solid paste material after sitting, even for amshort period of time.. I personally would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I've used many different types of filler over the years, this sets up a little faster than most I've used, but it's very easy to work with. For the money, I think it's a very good filler.
Date published: 2014-01-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have bought this filler several times. The last batch had a color change. The filler is tan and the hardener is blue. When mixed it turns pea green. MUCH easier to mix now. Thanks for the change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from everything about eastwood. it appears everything we have purchased as far as our major tools and equipment has went on sale after we bought it, compressor, welders, bead roller, i am not talking 5 or 10 bucks,, compressor for example is 500.00 bucks cheaper, I will be careful when it comes to you all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product bad can The product is fine but the container is terrible. The nylon ring to keep the lid on during shipping is difficult to get off and the can is so thin you can collapse it if you aren't careful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product ! I bought 2 quarts came in quickly, "BUT" the package came in a little damage on the box. Opened the box Surprised to see a box full of the product. It had poured out all in the box ! The 2 quarts did not have the metal retainers on them holding the lids to the can. Whom ever packaged the product must have it in the box from across the warehouse. I called Eastwood they gave me a refund no questions asked. Now I still need 2 more quarts for body seams on the 2 quarters & more areas on a 55 Chevy. Afraid to order it it may come in again a box full aluminum filler.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to sand, slow to ship. Great product. Much easier to sand than others. 2.5 weeks last order took to get to me.
Date published: 2022-02-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to work with Mixes well, sets up nicely, have not notices any air bubbles, seems to work on several types of substrate. For work I am doing I needed something to go direct to metal. I am also having to fill in some spots on structural wood pillars. So far this product is performing well for my applications.

Could I use this product and cut out a 2 in round hole in my plastic bumper cover, melt some metal mesh on the inside of the bumper cover, and then fill the surface hole with this product?

Asked by: Daniel
This product is for repairing those type of plastics and bumper covers. You could use a fiberglass mesh on the back side also. Apply in a couple layers. The key would be in the sanding and finishing of the repair, for it to be invisible.

Can phosphoric acid be applied over this filler?

Asked by: odeewankenobi
NO, No. The phosphoric acid in most self-etch primers that are used for automotive refinishing inhibits the cure of the filler and creates an adhesion problem. If a corrosion protection coating is preferred we recommend to use an epoxy primer and follow the coating manufacturer's recommendations.

FirewallPlan is to use epoxy primer and then your Eastwood seam sealer then your platinum rust encapsulator reply this body filler over all that then go ahead to finish and paint. Is that the best plan for a firewall?  Any special instructions on that?

Asked by: RB51
For Encapsulator to do what it needs to it needs to directly contact any rust present. So your best process would be: Encapsulator, body filler, Seam sealer (if needed) then paint.

Can this be used to fill low spots like regular body filler.

Asked by: Fireman42
This product can be used to fill low spots like regular body filler and it performs very well in this application. The aluminum powder that is used in the filler provides additional strength and corrosion protection over a standard body filler, but does make the filler harder to sand, and harder to achieve a perfectly flat surface. we typically recommend using this filler in an application where the low spot is deeper then normal, or to smooth cast metal parts.
