Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear DTM Spray paint Great product! I have not seen "direct to metal" clear spray coatings offered elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I was looking for! I haven’t used it yet but wanted to seal a freshly blasted bell housing before installation. Reviews were enough for me. Thanks Eastwood!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! This is the only clear coat that have found that holds up.Have used on other items in the past, this time around added it to the tunnel ram and carbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastwood Diamond Clear Satin review This is my third can and it is really good stuff. I have not seen it chip, color or fade. Plus, I use it on other painted metals and aluminum trim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for bare metal, quick drying! I use this to protect my bare metal plasma cut signs from surface rusting. Works great! You can lay it on heavy and it doesn't run. Has a nice fan tip thats wide and comfortable for your finger, not the cheap narrow tips most aerosols come with. Drys super fast and leaves a nice smooth finish. Best product I've found for bare metal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Must put on very thin Product yellows if put on thick or multiple coats. Only eatwood product iv used that wasn't up to par.
Date published: 2018-12-01
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not clear Lays down pretty good and dries really fast. It is not actually completely clear. There are spots that are not clear after spraying my black painted radiator support. Was not very happy with the finish. The radiator support was completely and evenly the same shade of black. The Diamond clear resulted in a disappointing finish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total garbage! I wasted over 10 hours of my time and resources polishing and rebuilding 2 Holley carburetors only to have them both oxidize under this useless clear coat in less than 3 months! Safe to say that this product does NOT work as advertised! I’ve been a metal finisher for many years and l have had better results with generic clear coat products at a fraction of the cost!! I’m considerably more than disappointed!! It’s a shame that the rating system only goes as low as one star as even a single star rating for this garbage is way too generous!! To anyone considering using this trash I would direct them to a product called Nyalic..it actually works!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clear coating polished aluminum wheels First time I have been disappointed by an eastwood product. This stuff is far from clear, dulled my wheels horribly!
Date published: 2020-12-30
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of time & money on bare steel Applied Diamond Clear to just-tumbbled/cleaned steel per product instructions 2 months ago. Steel is now starting to rust. Parts have to be removed again, stripped again, coated again (with something that genuinely works,) then reinstalled. DO NOT use this product on bare steel. Total waste of time & money.

Unfortunately this paint is only temp rated up to 300F so it could not be used directly on the motor itself. It should be fine for all other areas mentioned.

Is Eastwood Diamond Clear Satin Aerosol recommended for coating repairs done with Epoxy Resin if the surface is sanded? I'm using West System 105-B with the 207 harder. If not, can you recommend a true clear satin finish with UV protection?

Asked by: BoatManStan
The only Product that we would recommend over your fiberglass would be our Exo-Armour. Just make sure that you wipe the area with a wax and grease remover, then scuff up the fiberglass, then wipe down the area again with the wax and grease remover. Now your ready to apply the Exo-Amour.

You can apply this clear over your trim. No need for Adhesion Promoter. Wipe the area with Pre first, and let it gas off. You could also apply our Exo-amour Item #15350Z

Hello, 1988 Mustang GT turbine wheels. I have stripped the clear coat around the lip of the wheel but not the center painted parts of the wheel because they are in great shape. Can I clear over the entire wheel or only the bare metal lip areas?

You can apply the clear over the existing clear, just thoroughly clean the wheel, and scuff up the old clear, than apply the new coat over everything.

I am refinishing some steel Rally wheels that were repainted with your Silver Argent and Charcoal Grey Lacquer paints and am looking for a suggestion on clear topcoating over these finishes. Is there something you recommend? Looking for a satin finish.

Asked by: Firebird Mark
This Diamond clear would be an excellent option. At this point, since you won't get a chemical bond you would just need to scuff the surface with a scuff pad and wipe with a tack rag before applying this clear.
