Eastwood Electronic Tire and Wheel Balancer

Product Overview:

Description

Eastwood Electronic Wheel Balancer Features:

  • Can be used to balance tires for a smooth ride
  • Use on many tire and wheel sizes
  • Digital display and controls
  • Takes just 8 seconds to measure tire/wheel weight
  • 1-year warranty

If you’re constantly changing tires and wheels, this DIY Electronic Wheel Balancer is a must for your shop. This 2-on-1 unit complements our Swing Arm Tire Changer to Do the Job Right. Once your tires are properly mounted on the wheel, give them a spin on the rotator to measure the weight. The digital display compares the tires so you know what clip-on or stick weights to add. The machine will fit wheels up to 24 inches in diameter and 20 inches wide, letting you balance a huge variety of car, truck and SUV wheels.

A Digital Wheel Balancing Machine is great for race shops, professional tire shops and anyone who has a large fleet of vehicles. By getting the tire and wheel properly balanced, there will be fewer vibrations and more even tire wear while driving. All hardware is included for precision balancing, and there’s also a protective hood in case debris kicks up or the wheel comes loose. It takes just eight seconds to get an accurate measurement! We provide lifetime tech support on this balancer that is used by many of our team members.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for the money Works as intended. Easy to use does need to be bolted to the floor as it is so light when you put a heavy tire on it it wants to tip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tire balancer Works great, done 6 tires so far. My son's car was very smooth. Quality seems good. Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good For The Home Garage So far I've balanced 6 tires ties with it: 4 truck tires and 2 car tires. It worked great. I'm glad I bought it. Now I can work on restoring/cleaning rims, cleaning the bead seal when you get those ever so slow air leaks, and changing air pressure sensor batteries. I didn't have any issue with pressing two buttons at once as someone else noted. You can press and hold the function button and then press the other button. It works fine. And all the instructions I needed were in the paper manual that came with the machine. I think it's also downloadable from the website. The wheel balancer is very picky. Don't put that wheel weight in the exact location and it won't show as balanced when you check it afterword. I use a pendulum to help determine exactly where to center the weight. The cones are metal and the machine is of a sturdy design. The only complaint I have is the packing of it was not that good. It was strapped to a pallet and had a cardboard tent over it with stick framing. Mine had what looked like a forklift pine hole through the side of it. Thankfully it didn't make contact with the wheel balancer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great with larger steel wheels. Selecting the different balance procedures is a hassle. Why isn't there a dedicated button for that? What you end up doing is pressing two buttons at once but they never read as a single input. The instructions are not very helpful. The instructional video that was made for the machine is too short and vague to be of any help. I for the life of me can not get this machine to properly center a steel wheel. I've fought with these wheels for more than an hour and can't get the wheel to track straight. I'm just going to have to take my truck to a different tire shop and pay them to balance my tires.

Do you have a larger cup for holding 8 hole wheels on. The large cone fits the wheel but the cup does not. That does not impress me since the specs do not mention this inability to do some very common wheels.

Asked by: Anonymous
The 4" cone works for the larger diameter 8 lug wheels, but the cap that screws on to hold the wheel to the cone needs to be bigger. Hunter used to have a cover that went on that would be big enough to hold the center of the wheel to the cone. If anyone comes up with something, please post is so we all can benefit.

Do you offer any training for this wheel balancer?

Asked by: Micheladas
Unfortunately at this time Eastwood does not offer a training class for the Electronic Wheel Balancer (31639). This unit does come with a comprehensive instruction manual that will provide the necessary information to set up the unit and start balancing wheel/tires.
