Description
Whether you’re new to welding or work as a professional, Eastwood’s MP140i is an ideal all-in-one welder. This multi-process welder lets you work the way you want – MIG, TIG, flux-core, or stick. Capable of output up to 140 Amps, it’s flexible enough to switch from welding thin sheet metal to structural steel up to 3/16-in. thick. With the addition of the optional spool gun, it can even weld aluminum.
User-friendly features include a spot-weld timer for hanging panels, infinitely adjustable knobs for precise tuning, and a digital display to give you accurate readings. It’s equipped with three pro-grade torches plus common consumables and accessories.
The MP140i’s IGBT inverter technology produces the most stable arc possible while saving weight. It weighs in at just 34-lbs and operates on a standard 120V power output, meaning you can take it anywhere a welding job is needed.
And it’s all backed up by Eastwood’s 3-year warranty and lifetime tech support.

Duty Cycle
The rated Duty cycle refers to the amount of welding that can be done within an amount of time. The Eastwood MP140i has a duty cycle of 30% at 90 Amps. It is easiest to look at your welding time in blocks of 10 Minutes and the Duty Cycle being a percentage of that 10 Minutes. If welding at 90 Amps with a 30% Duty Cycle, within a 10 Minute block of time you can weld for 3 Minutes with 7 Minutes of cooling for the Welder.
If the Duty Cycle is exceeded, the Welder will automatically shut off, however the fan will continue running to cool the components. When a safe temperature has been reached, the Welder will automatically switch the Welder output back on. To increase the duty cycle you can turn down the Voltage Output control.

What is the maximum 7018 stick size
does the TIG torch have an on/off switch? I know it doesn't use a foot pedal, so wonder if once you turn on the machine, that the tungsten electrode is on and gas is flowing.
Which shield gas is recommended to solder car steel and aluminum and model MP140i can use them?, I am looking for the best priced welder that use Argon gas as shield (a request from a friend of mine). thanks.
Good morning. Are there any meaningful differences between the Elite MP140i and Titanium MP140 from Harbor Freight. Thank you
How do I calculate the amperage based on the voltage and wire speed settings? I am a little confused by the Duty Cycle Ratings.
If this requires a dedicated 20A service, what style of plug is on the welder? Does it have a standard NEMA 5-15P meaning it is only good for up to 15A? This is a little confusing.
I am planning to run this with a dedicated branch- 30A breaker, 10AWG service wire, two 100ft 10/3 SO extension cords with 30A RV plugs at each connection. Is this safe and can I ustilze full duty cycle at the max output of 140A? What's duty @ 140A?
Does the MP140i come with a tig torch and lead?
Can I run a torch that has the button to depress for gas and arch? Instead of scratch start and gas onky controlled by knob
Does this run ac and dc
Is there anything I need to change to use .030 instead of the .023 wire?
Can this welder use a E7018 stick electrode?
What is the proper replacement tig torch for this welder?
Just want to check if it is normal that the wire feed starts 1-2 seconds after pressing the trigger, the gas starts immediately. My old Lincoln welder both started immediately. When I got this welder the mig torch had to be replaced because of a defective
Does this welder plug into a 120volt 20amp single phase household receptacle?
what is the specific gas constituent
What welder cover would fit this machine, the ones you sell do not refer to this model??
Trying to figure out where to have it sit. Can you tell me the dimensions of the unit; height, width, length, weight?
Do i need a pure sine wave generator? or can i use my HF 6500 generator?
what is the shipping weight of the complete and what is the weight of unit itself ?
Can I install a foot pedal
Do you have to use a different liner for flux core?
Can you put a foot pedal on this?
I bought one of these a while back. Haven't even opened the box yet. The contents section says the 140i is a dual voltage machine but in another section it states 120 volts. can this machine be connected to 220-240 volts to weld thicker material?
Would this be able to run off a solar system/12v inverter? I have a few 100ah batteries but not sure if a welder works on an inverter. My inverter is a modified sine wave capable of 3000 running watts and 6000 peak watts. Would I need bigger or pure sine?
Can this machine run 5/32 or 3/32nd 7018?
I am looking at this machine or a miller at the moment. How many amps does the stick welding feature max out at? And will it run a 1/8 welding rod? And If I do not like the machine how easy is it to return?
Is it possible to disable the “run in” function this welder has with mig Welding? I am Referring to how the wire speed starts off slow then speeds up to the set wire speed after a few seconds. Thanks
I would like to buy a new gas lens for my Tig Torch, but what style torch comes with the MP140i? 17/18/26/9/20
I was taught 6010 runs DCEP only so can this machine do that or will it run it just DCEN
