PCS 250The PCS 250 is a great for any level of experience. This gun works well with all my small jobs, and picking up a few extra bottles allows me to keep my most used powders ready. The dual voltage is great for the twisted up and multi angle pieces with tight corners. If you are just getting started this gun is a great place to start from.

Can you use this bench top oven for cerakote as well?
Asked by: Jake
It would be best to raise this question with Cerakote for advice. But, it does perform within their cure ranges depending on which product.

The powder I am using (11504) flows out at 450 degrees per the instructions. With this oven only going to 400 will it just take longer to flow or will it not work at all? Are there any other tricks to get a powder like that to flow out at 400?
Asked by: Ross
These are the specs and they refer to 400 degrees. Color: Chrome Gloss Level: High Gloss Cure Temperature: 400 Degrees Cure Time: 20 Minutes AFTER flow-out

Can you powder coat exhaust headers
Asked by: Eddie
Ceramic coating is the best protection against corrosion for headers. It's possible to powder coat exhaust headers, though it's not recommended due to the high temperatures they experience.

The internal dimensions (15.12-in. x 12.83-in. x 10.71-in.) is this usable space or just the metal case inside measurements? I am interested to know the distance between the top and lower heating elements. What is the tallest an item can be? 10.71 inches?
Asked by: Sootyowl
Yes, 10.71 inches is what the dimensions state on the webpage. Internal Volume (W x D x H): 15.12-in. x 12.83-in. x 10.71-in. (384 x 326 x 272mm) 1.2 ft3 (34L)

I am new to this process. I understand the powder is attracted to the metal surface due to the charge running through it. What makes the powder stay in place between that and putting the item in the oven? Is it stuck on at that point before the bake?
Asked by: VinceM
The Eastwood HotCoat® PCS-250 works by charging powder particles electrostatically as they’re sprayed, causing them to cling to a grounded metal surface through static electricity. This allows the powder to adhere evenly, even on complex shapes. Before baking, the powder isn't yet bonded and can be disturbed if touched or exposed to strong airflow, so careful handling is essential until it's cured.
