changing tires on my RAM 1500 from 20" rims & tires to 18" rims/studded snow tires. My idea is to jack the truck up - put a dolly under the said wheel/tire - loosen lug nuts adjust the dolly - pull the wheel exchange to the replacement - slide new in?

Asked by: JIMDAV
A 20" wheel and an 18" wheel are both sustantailly lighter than the dolly's limit. So long as your jack can lift and lower your truck to the required hight and your floor is smooth and reasonably flat, then yes, it can do so.

How high does the dolly pick up the tire off the ground

Asked by: thegenefactor
These are not really designed to jack a vehicle up. Once the tire tread is off the ground they have done their job and you can push the vehicle around. So I would say up to a half inch.

what is width between rollers? 13in tire will not work on some brands

Asked by: doug

I need the dimensions.  How far out from the outside wall of the tire does the device project on each side of the car?  For example, if I buy 4, and store the car on the devices, how much do the devices add to the width of the car?
