Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best welding helmet I have ever used. I've been the autobody industry since 1982. I've used an lot of helmet's over the year's. The problem I always had is not being able to see clearly, well this solved my problem and for the $ it's an bargain! Dont waste your time buying anything else. This is it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This helmet is awesome I got this helmet when I got my new welder. I had an auto-darking helmet before, but it did not have close to the clarity as this one. My sun glasses are darker than this thing when I am not welding. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welding helmet I just bought this helmet about two weeks ago and it is amazing. I have another helmet from Eastwood which was my favorite till this one. It works so well and is awesome to weld with. I can see so much better because of the true color concept. I am just a do it yourself type person so it won’t get much abuse but this helmet is worth getting if u do any welding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great welding helmat I bought this helmat because my last one died. This one is agret improvement. the view through it seems much clearer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Better then I could have believe I have been welding for the past 47 years and this work better than any I have used in the past
Date published: 2018-12-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ez to use I bought this a week ago to because it was on sale and my other helmet had yellow tint. This helmet is really easy to use because the lens is pretty much clear (slight blue tint) making it a lot easier to see what you are welding. Also it is a little bigger view area than most regular welding helmets giving you more visibility. For the price its a good helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet I love this helmet the view is clear and very comfortable I'd definitely buy this over any of the more expensive hoods.
Date published: 2018-12-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed I bought this helmet as a back up or to let my nephew watch or weld and was wonderfully surprised at just how well the helmet works! I have 2 other Miller helmets and actually this functions as well as they do at least initially. Can't beat it for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I actually really like this hood For the price I was a little sketchy.. usually cheap hoods are just that.. this has actually blown my mind mind. I own a mobile welding business, so I do alot of stick, and mig. Mig welding with it for long period of time works great, stick welding it works awesome. Even in tight spots where some other hoods wouldn't darken, this one did.. it darkens right away. only once it took a second delay to darken if I was spot welding multiply times.. This is actually my first true color welding hood.. I have seen these advertise for every company this one is by far the cheapest.. but I will say so far it has been an amazing hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from L6700 - Great Value I’m taking a welding course. Classmates were spending 2-3 times the price of this helmet. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and am very happy with the performance. Working excellent. So pleased with it, a classmate purchased one as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this for my son (recommend by a friend who is a welder) he is taking his first year of welding in high school. He is using it to learn mig, tig, stick, and Arc. He said it works great, and is very comfortable to wear. Well worth the money spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liked it a lot Got this a couple weks ago and it helps me see much better, getting better welds and not wandering off the spot ! good product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet! I bought this about a month ago WOW! what a diffrence this has made in my learning to weld! The adjustment bands works great. The large view window is fantastic Thank you Eastwood!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth more than it cost I am a stingy sort, so I tried various cheapo solutions to the welding helmet problem, including fixed-shade lenses and auto-darkening models from anonymous internet vendors. These produced “spray-and-pray” welds and temporary blindness, respectively. Other helmets from industrial suppliers were much more expensive. The Eastwood helmet does everything I want, and does it well: the view is excellent, the response time is good, it seems sturdy enough so far, and (oh yeah) I can afford it. Best of all, there’s a reputable vendor standing behind it. It’s a high-quality helmet for a reasonable price. It’s made my welds better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I'm a farmer and I weld inside/outside,upside down and on my head at times. I always used Miller, Lincoln helmets but needed to try something different. When I used it for the first time I loved It! Great vision before and during welding. Well worth my hard earned money.
Date published: 2018-05-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lot better than I thought it would be. I'm really happy with this welding helmet. All the adjustments are quick and easy. I wish the head strap was a little bigger cause I have a big head and it fits a little too snug.
Date published: 2018-05-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice welding helmet! My 7yr old $300 Miller hood was going bad, so i was looking for a hood with 4 sensors that would auto darken with the slightest arc from tig steel welding, and this hood does that great! No flickering even at the lowest possible arc. The True Color feature is a really great , easier to see both when there is no arc and with an arc. I like it better than the Miller that i was using.
Date published: 2018-05-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hood I've had this for 5 months and use it everyday for stick welding pipe. Ive used and abused it for 5 months, curious to see how it would hold up and so far so good. At the end of the day it gets thrown in a gang box full of tools and kicked/tossed around during work hours. For everyone complaining about replacement plastic lenses, just look around for a 4.5 x 5.25 x .04 (or 1mm) lens. They are very cheap depending where you look for them. Just make sure they're the .04 thick or else they won't fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helmet I'm glad that I got the wide view, Things look so much better With the up-grade they mad to this helmet.

How do you remove the Cassette. You need to remove this to get the batteries out as the battery covers hit the lip around the cassette.

Asked by: Robert
There will be two safety clips on the right hand side retainers which need to be pulled straight up and out. Once these are pulled out it is very easy to push the retainer over and release the cassette.

To place the magnification lenses in the helmet is there something extra to place inside or do you just need the lenses and it has slots to place it in.

Asked by: mackdaddy21
There are slots built into the helmet designed to hold the magnification lens.
