Grind mode allows you to quickly reshape tungstens, grind spot welds and more, without having to the remove the helmet. The large 3.9" x 2.64" (100mm x 67mm) view area assures accurate MIG or TIG welding without neck strain and adjustable head gear eliminate fatigue. Replaceable Li Mn battery with arc charging for up to 3 years usage. CE, ANSI and RoHs certifications.

Comfortable Head Gear

This welding helmet has a 5 way adjustable headgear with sweat band for the perfect fit and comfort while welding. It will comfortably fit a head circumference between 21.6” – 24.8”.

Internal Shade Controls

This Eastwood Auto Darkening Welding Helmet has infinitely adjustable sensitivity delay and shade adjustment. The main viewing area can be dimmed from shade 4 to 13, with Grind feature. Grind mode allows you to quickly reshape tungsten and grind spot welds.

This helmet is compatible with a 2” x 4.25” plate size magnifying lens.

Uses easily replaceable CR2450 batteries for power and has a low battery indicator to let you know when replacement is needed.

My 7yr old $300 Miller hood was going bad, so i was looking for a hood with 4 sensors that would auto darken with the slightest arc from tig steel welding, and this hood does that great! No flickering even at the lowest possible arc. The True Color feature is a really great , easier to see both when there is no arc and with an arc. I like it better than the Miller that i was using.

Ive used and abused it for 5 months, curious to see how it would hold up and so far so good. At the end of the day it gets thrown in a gang box full of tools and kicked/tossed around during work hours. For everyone complaining about replacement plastic lenses, just look around for a 4.5 x 5.25 x .04 (or 1mm) lens. They are very cheap depending where you look for them. Just make sure they're the .04 thick or else they won't fit.

The view is very clear when its not dimmed. It took me a little to get used to because it seemed like I wasn't wearing a welding helmet. The only problem now is no one wants to use my other welding helmet.

I bought this to replace the extra large view helmet that crapped out three months after I bought it, and by far this takes the winner's circle! Color, clarity and performance are all what I have seen in big name helmets that are three times the price.

Even fastened a hikers head lamp onto my last helmet and it did help a lot but when I saw the video on this helmet I had to try it and boy am I glad I did. Best money I've spent in a while and my welding has improved a great deal, both MIG and TIG. The box it comes in even has handles that fold out so it can be used like a helmet bag. Knowing what I know now I wish I'd bought the panoramic helmet but didn't want to risk throwing that much away if I didn't like it. I really do love this thing, maybe you can tell. The only negatives are the controls are located inside the helmet and the shell seems very light duty. The negative are just subjective opinions though and for the price how could anyone complain.

I walked in to get new outter lens covers for my fixed shade hood and was asked if I would like to go in the back and try this hood out since I was checking it out. The true color is no joke. It seriously looks like you're looking at it with no hood on. I have another auto hood as well and the color of the arc with this Eastwood is night and day difference. As of right now I'm giving it 5 stars based on this alone. We'll see how it stands up over time.

Havent been able to use as the wrong batteries got sent with it. Called and they sent out a new set...of the same incorrect batteries. Called again and waiting on the correct ones. Not a huge deal but definitely a pain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lawkknives from Bad headband This helmet works really well but the headband is super uncomfortable. even after i got it adjusted to fit my head it still kept wanting to fall off while I was welding even though I had it tightened as far as it would go. I don’t really like the duel cross straps on the headband or the pivot on the adjuster in the back. Maybe I just have a funny shaped head. As far as the helmet goes though I really like it.

Adjustability of the lens darkening is easy. Head gear adjustments are simple. The only reason for 4 stars is because the side knobs that control how tight the man is on the head gear eventually come loose over time, but a quick adjustment gets it right back where it needs to be.

Been using this for two months now and one of the best buys i made. can't beat the price been using this for the last two months and can't beat the price for true color technology and the cheater lens option which is a must for us old frats with bad eyes. also a very light helmet. i would have preferred controls on the outside but that bumps up the price over hundred. haven't had any issues. the only cons i see is the cheater lens holder could be a more solid. even the HF 40 dollar helmet has a better lens holder. i remove the lens when not in use because I don't see these lasting and it would probably stretching as design stands and the lens will start falling out. other than that a very good and responsive helmet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by boutin73 from Nice Helmet Bought this helmet after reading the reviews and researching the features. Sounded like a nice piece of equipment. You cant beat it for the price. My only complaint is that it says no need for a separate set of safety glasses because it has a grind mode. This was a selling point for me. Problem is that the grind mode button is inside the helmet so you need to take it off (gloves too since the dial is tiny) to turn it on. There really should be a button on the outside that is accessible without removing the helmet and changing your settings. If you don't use this feature (which I do not since it is too cumbersome) then this is a great helmet and I recommend it.

My only issue is with the headgear. Trying to find that sweet spot with the tension knobs so it stays up without coming down or after adjusting it snapping it down with a flick of my head and coming all the way down and not half way cause its too tight. I'll keep playing with it. Its a cool hood.

I would give this helmet 5 stars if not for 2 minor problems. The two straps on the top are not long enough for me to get the viewing area exactly where I need it , it rides a little too high. The second would be the mounts for cheater lenses does not function very well .....they are stiff to get the lens in and then spread out to the sides....it took quite a few attempts to get my lens in....but really I cant say enough about how easy it is to see the weld pool and absolutely no eye fatigue after welding all day

The product seems a little flimsy the head band is on the low quality end but overall it does the job we will see over time. M Cormack
