If the stud is very tight the tool will damage the threads

Questions & Answers
What is the minimum exposed stud length required to work? Or, asked another way, will this tool work on broken studs? The product usage page didn't load (404 error).
Consider 1/8 from the base of socket to the begining of cylinders plus 1/2 minimum of the stud would be 5/16. This numbers represents a high risk in the job so, if you could use heat and lub would be better, my guess of course.

What is the minimum exposed length of stud required for the remover to operate properly?
1/2" tp 3/4" min.

Will this work on rusted in studs?
The Eastwood Stud removers item #31836 for metric studs or item# 31835 for SAE Standard studs, will work on rusted studs. It is recommended to first remove surface rust with a wire brush (20034) then spray with a penetrant oil such as Kroil penetrating oils (43380) before removing the stud.
