PRE Painting Prep removes grease, oil, wax, and polish. PRE Painting Prep is a blend of solvents that may attack plastic, so test first. One can treats 20 sq ft. On waxed areas, or surfaces that may have silicones, more than one cleaning may be necessary. Works better than lacquer thinner, which can leave a film behind that can compromise paint adhesion. Use to prep for all Eastwood paints, including our exhaust manifold paints. Use in a well ventilated area, or wear a respirator like our SAS Bandit Respirator (11455 or 11456).

What are the main cleansing ingredients, the foundations so to speak ?? (Lacquer ?, Mineral Spirits ? Amonia ? Some kind of thinner like Naptha ?)

My Chevelle chassis. I plan to strip to bare metal, wipe down with POR 15 metal Prep, followed by Eastwood pre painting prep, then coat with Eastwood rust encapsulator and finally coat it with Eastwood Chassis Black. Is this a proper way to do it?

Will this product work effectively if there's still some patchy paint and primer on my trailer frame? I went over the entire frame with a wire wheel but only ground to bare metal where necessary to remove rust.

Its possible this could harm the existing products down. We would have no way of knowing without knowing what type of existing finish/products were down. be sure to test a small area first.
