Easily Form Steel, Stainless, Aluminum Rod and Flat Stock:
Put the right curves into your steel and aluminum rods using this small metal tubing bender. The tool mounts in your bench vise to create repeatable bends of 180 degrees or more in round, flat and square tubes. A rod forming tool is often used to create exhaust system hangers and brackets. It’s also great for hood prop rods, pegboard hooks, wire storage racks and ornamental metal art. The industrial design and construction produce strong leverage to complete the best in seconds. Use it on round stock with a diameter up to 3/8-inch or on ½-inch wide flat stock up to 3/16-inch thick.
Five forming dies with diameters between a ½-inch and 1.5 inches are included with our metal rod bending tool. Eastwood Metal Rod Forming and Bending ToolFor me, this was perfect. If I bent rod everyday I might go for something bigger and more complex that would be permanently mounted somewhere in my shop. But that space is already taken by things that I do use often, so this is a well made, well thought out tool that takes up very little space in my tool drawer. I take it out when I need it and put it away when I'm done. It is a pleasure to own.

Why'd I Wait So Long??I can't believe I didn't buy one of these sooner. I build custom furniture and one of the pieces I've designed incorporates a 5/16" brass rod that I make two 90-degree bends on. I make these fairly frequently and up until now I've been using a custom jig that I welded up myself using some scrap tubing and angle steel and then i clamp it in my vise. It works fine but leaves slight indents on my brass that i need to sand out. So far I've used this Eastwood bender a couple times and it is a thousand times faster and easier than my diy bending setup. Again, I wish I would've bought this bender sooner. Really helpful for my needs. So far so happy👌🏻
